Dungeon Finder battle lvl

Powerburrito20
So if your under CP160 and get a group in dungeon finder you are lvled to cp160, right? How is that figured or how much is added to your stats? Is it a certain value that's added to your current stats? I'll be more specific, I'm currently lvl 40 Templar, just 40 no cp, and wearing lvl 30 gear ( lvling too darn fast to make gear every few lvls so trying to squeek by until I hit 50 so can go right to cp160 gear since I'm cp299 on my account) So asking how much this is hurting the group or none at all, or should i upgrade gear now and again at 50 although I should hit 50 by the weekend or so.

Honest to god, I healed on my dk via the group finder with lvl 14 seducer / mag blue gear, all the way to lvl 30, at which point I made a new set and didn't replace it till I jumped to my cp level post 50. In most of those dungeons I could have easily and often did, tank as well.

The battle leveling is very generous for low levels, you will not need any more than 2 sets leveling from 1 to 50 via random dungeon GF.

Unfortunately the tool doesn't work right atm, otherwise i wold love to test getting to lvl 50 exclusively with random dungeons with only a lvl 14 set.

Good to know, I'm gonna try to stick with the gear I have, only 9 or 10 lvls to go anyway. Do you know how battle lvling is supposed to work? Like how much is added? Just trying to get an idea how much of an increase I'll get in dungeon finder when I equip cp160 gear vs. battle lvled 30 gear.

You are actually stronger below 50 than the same build at CP160. It's very generous, I think to adjust for the fact many below level 50 don't have any Champion Points.

My stamplar (with ~CP250 at the time) spent a lot of time in the dungeon finder leveling all the way up with her level 10 training gear. She was destroying people in PvP too before she hit level 50 with the same training gear. (Because of the Champion Points, it didn't matter that her gear was so underleveled. In your case, if you refreshed gear periodically, you would get similar results).

I refuse to take her in dungeons now, and she dies a lot in PvP, now that she is CP160 with CP160 gear. Now it matters that she doesn't have Vigor, and I need to completely retool her Champion Points because they are not working as well as they did up to level 49. She doesn't do so well without the scaling. And she has ~430 CP now, so close to twice as much.

Yes, this is an example with Champion Points, which you mentioned you don't have. Nonetheless, I think it highlights the difference between scaling and not scaling fairly well? Don't be afraid because you are scaled up without CP! The game is very kind the way it calculates that!

Why be normal when you can be better?

    Elissandra Ravenwing, Magicka Dragonknight Healer
    Lady Kalila, Stamina Templar DPS
    Stands-in-Danger, Nightblade Saptank
    Zalarah, Stamina Dragonknight DPS

Actually, the op does have champion points..as stated in their post. The battle leveling formula specifics I do not know, howe've they do in fact rune you above normal. Likely becuase of a lack of skill points and avail be leveled passives that effect your performance. This Is why you will notice a noticeable drop in effectiveness the second you ding 50 and do a random dungeon like you were while leveling.

Actually I did say I have CP, i'm at cp299, but your response still answers my question. I'll for sure just keep my current gear until I hit 50, then can go straight to cp160 gear. Thanks for the reply.
