So, uh. Today - yesterday - the day before - the past weeks, the negates have started to get to me. Not in the way of "omfg it's unbreakable omfgomgomfgomfgom", but in the way of...
IS IT MY NEGATE? Is it AD's Negate? DC's Negate? EP's Negate?
Am I the only around here with a serious problem telling a friendly negate from an enemy negate?
A possible solution: Make it purple-yellow-ish for AD, Blue-purple-ish for DC, Red-Purple-ish for EP. Like, add highlights or make a fluffy ball of mixed alliance colour + purple.
I like the effect - I like how it looks, but just make something change?
Or add a flag on the ground inside of it. Like AD-flag for AD-negate etc. (Kinda like the DK-Standard, but with a flag on the ground )
I'm just a Tiny Liebs, I need to know my negates apart

Don't want to spread wrong informations, but wasn't this fixed on the pts together with the moving negate field ?
Not sure.
But I agree, the red circle is missing on live and this makes it hard to tell if it's mine or an evil one.
On the other hand, I feel like pugs in pvp just stay within the field, because they don't see the red circle and believe that it's nothing harmfull I would vote for not fixing this.

Really? I have the exact opposite problem, they think the enemies cast it or something and don't go anywhere near it! (In terms of my allies)

But seriously, it would help to know if it is friendly or not. Considering it takes a full second and a half after leaving a Negate to be able to cast again.

Seriously, this is my main issue with it. I can clearly see that my characters feet are outside the negate, yet I still can't cast anything. Considering the size of negates, this is a real problem for magicka builds who have to dodge twice sometimes just to get far enough away.
And there are even more visual issues with negate apart from highly inaccurate circles on the ground and not being able to tell who the hell cast it.
Sometimes, they're completely invisible. Sometimes, they stick to the caster and move around with them. I've heard that this can both make the negate useless and actually make a mobile negate. It's just seriously screwed up like most everything in this game.

I think a UI option to colour ground effects in general by alliance colour would be a massive step forward for the game.
