That's what I'm trying to figure out, but if I was to guess, probably through Sunday... but don't quote me on that. But in the past, normal sales typically ran through Sunday.

Maintenance was for this fix... something to do with character creation templates.

I now have over 26000 Crowns... will be buying a lot more packs before the sale is done. People wonder why? These would be the same people who complain about Crown Store prices... when now I'll be buying everything at half-price.

I just bought THREE 5500 packs this morning at Regular price, but I'm not complaining. Irritated a bit yes, but MMOs never announce sales in advance because then they know more people would wait for the sale so they'd make less profit. By doing 'surprise sales' they have less risk of losing revenue.

I only know of a few stores that will refund the difference if an item later goes on sale, and a lot of that has to do with their refund policy. Most offer a refund of difference simply because otherwise the customer could just return the item and buy it elsewhere so they'd lose the entire sale. Online digital transactions you cannot 'return', so there is no incentive for a company to refund the difference because you cannot simply return it and buy the same thing elsewhere. You could TRY to submit a ticket, and they may possible issue a partial refund, but I doubt it work.

The sale price for the 5,500 crown pack is the same as the last crown sale they had (according to my billing history), so I think it's another 50% off sale.

Dunno what places you're shopping at, but "refund the difference" is not a routine policy at most retailers.

It certainly won't do you any good with Steam purchases either.

Yes, and like I said... their incentive is that you can just return the item and go elsewhere to buy it on sale... there isn't the same incentive with online digital items. You can't just 'return the Crowns and buy them elsewhere'... so ZOS has no incentive to offer partial refunds.
