How much money is your account worth to you?

Please, this IS NOT a thread to see how much someone should charge to sell their account. I was talking with some friends about this, and we came up with a very wide range of value that we'd put on our accounts. For me, my account is nearly priceless, and I would never sell it even if it were allowed. So please, no trolling, I'm just asking to see how much people think all their time and effort into all their toons would be worth to them in cold hard cash.

I wouldnt say priceless but I wouldn't sell it. If I stop using something ill either keep it for just incase or give it away. With an account I'd obviously keep it for myself

as has already been pointed out you are discussing something that is expressly forbidden by the eula - i was merely speculating how long the thread will last, hardly trolling.

That kind of depends on context. Are we talking 'how much would you be willing to sell your account for?' or 'if your account were held hostage, how much would you be willing to pay to get it back?'. In the first case the equivalent of $200, maybe $300. In the second situation... the price of an average new game probably $40-60.

What is meant is actually "how attached are you to your characters" - it is not about a forbidden practice, but more like I said. In EVE online it is allowed to sell characters, not an account though. A character can be transferred to another account for 2 PLEX service fee, that CCP will perform the transfer - I have 11 characters, and play just 6 currently - I could sell 5 of them, but I never will - I am attached to them.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Saw this and thought someone had found and bumped it.

The pricing and selling of digital accounts is very frowned upon, so I'd assume this question, no matter how worded, is treading thin ice.

I wouldn't say priceless at all, but we're definitely looking at $50,000 minimum before I'd even consider it (my account is bound to my Xbox Live account of course, so that would include the value of my entire Xbox Account, which has years of effort put into it that I wouldn't throw away for anything less than a life-altering payday).
