Just buy it, it's a lot faster to grind for motifs or something than grinding raw mats imo.

RNG is random most "random" number generators like the ones in casinos are set so that the have to pay X per Y over a period of Z.

ZoS has a straight dice roll I tent to get 3-4 a week on weeks when I do refine. Now if you need Wax the daily writs are your best bet. With 11 guys I get a solid 2-3 a day.

Cut off your crafting at level 9 and farm Void mats in Craglorn they are cheap to by and if you farm you have a chance of getting Nirn which you can sell to buy Wax. Hope this helps.

I get way too many wax, I made like 90% of my gold from refining rubedo leather and selling the wax and leather.

Just sold 6 wax yesterday from refining around 300 rawhide and 300 rubedo.
