Making gold is easy if you just play the game and do not go for quick progress and best gear. I made my first million just playing the game, levelling several characters, making one a master crafter to make all my own armour, weapons, glyphs, food and potions instead of buying any. I did spend a bit of gold on storage before craft bags came out though.
Do all the quests you can, including daily undaunteds, sell all of the 'bonus value' items you pick up and break down everything else you pick up for the raw materials. Do daily writs on as many characters as you can, I currently have 4 characters doing all 6 writs every day and another only doing provisioning (for psijic pieces). I make over 20k every day just from writs and selling the bonus sales items to NPC's.
I have only recently starting selling 'surplus' items through no fee traders as something to do. I keep enough improvement items for my own use and sell the extra purples and golds as I get them (golds starting at 8k a piece). I know the psijic recipe and have a second full set of pieces in stock so sell any extras I get for over 20k a piece, I also make the XP potion from perfect roe I catch and sell them from 4k each (16k from 1 perfect roe).
I generally only restock my traders once or twice a week, so only spend about 30 minutes or so doing it (3 traders) and might get about 200k a week in sales without doing anything special. If I made a real effort I could make a lot more but I don't need the gold.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion.
Too much to know what to do with. With Self-crafted fully legendary gear and self acquired motifs there isn't anything to spend it on. I hope Housing will provide us with a gold sink.
My main char right now is at i think 62k gold, with another 20k i stashed in the bank in case i start playing one of my other characters who are utterly broke.
100k-ish. Between gearing up my new characters and having no time to grind vso and nMol for those sweet Viper, elegant and Worm sets, i'm loosing money now lol
It's all good, i'd blow it all on motifs anyway even if i did have more gold.

Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest Lae Lenne - Templar Healer Trial grade. Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks! Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest. Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...
