    I love the game.

However, I would rather have longer time between DLC and bring out something a little more polished.

The lag and random load screens are an annoyance, but I still play every day.

I see alot of "balance" anger. I never ran into anything that upsetting. Sure there are come classes out there that gear correctly can wreak you, but that is the game. Every single class is well done and a blast to play.

I've been happily playing the game since the PC launch (with no performance issues). I don't do PvP or competitive PvE and stick to solo PvE plus cooperative play for things like delves, public dungeons and dolmens etc. I play many characters across two accounts. I don't play all day every day but regard ESO as my main MMO "home" these days while also playing various other games as well as doing other things in my retirement.

I would say that when I PVE, I am happy. When I PVP, I am unhappy. The cheaters and exploiters are ruining PVP in this game. I've had good customer service and bad (relating response to PVP cheating). The crown store prices are too high now. I used to buy lots of mounts and pets, but now they cost more than the DLCs, which is too much. Subbing and buying crowns is too much money. Not complaining as much as telling it like it is. I have certain amount each month I can spend on this hobby.

Overall, ESO is a good game.

Yes there are lots of problems, and yes we tend to get lots of new problems with each update. However the game largely remains playable (at least on PC) and I'm able to log in most nights and find something fun to do, be it questing or group PvE or PvP or whatever.

As long as the process remains log in, do whatever I want for a while and have fun, log out... then I stay happy.

    PVE

There is that never-ending problem with the dungeon finder (not as tank but as dd).
But that doesn't bother me that much since I can just enjoy the look of the game - it's beautiful, one can take screenshots
    every minute.

And the fighting ingame: it's not just click and hit - you actually have to target someone or look in the right direction, you have to move, block,... it feels more "real" that the "press that button end everything's fine" of other games.
But that's the reason why I love all the ElderScrolls games I guess  - and the graphics.

    That's how I feel too.

Not that I lack complaints or that I am unaware of the issues with the game, but the good far outweighs the bad for me.

As for what I do in the game, I do a bit of everything. Solo PvE, group PvE, solo PvP, RP, questing, grinding, crafting... Group PvP is really the only thing that I hardly ever do. Maybe one day I will join a PvP guild, but for now I just roam alone and pray on strangles unless I happen to bump into a group in Cyrodiil.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Started playing on first day of Early Access in March 2014 and I play almost every day, exclusively PVE, frequently on lower level characters. I do questing, exploring, daily quests, and sell stuff in the Guild Store. I do not do end game content and have stopped doing PVP. I have never done a Trial, Veteran dungeon, or any Arena. I play to have fun, not to be optimal, and I have little interest in comparing my "manhood" with other players. Until 6 months ago, I never even bothered to find out my DPS, and now that I do, I have no idea whether 5k, or 8k, is actually good, or bad, for a level 35 character, or a level 50 character.

I find my own things to do in the game, which may be quests, or achievements, or whatever I just happen to feel like doing that day. I make my own goals and challenges. I occasionally try to take from the game that which the game would gladly kill me for, like skyshard hunting in higher level zones, and soloing bosses and dolmens. Other times, I just farm stuff, go fishing, or hunt chests and troves in the far corners. This is made more interesting knowing that some of the places I go are lethal at my character's level. I spent hours solo farming Craglorn for nirncrux at Veteran Rank 1 without picking fights with the natives.

In all of this, what I don't have is Cyrodiil lag. I do not have spontaneous loading screens. I do not get disconnected. I do not have race or class balance issues. I do not have problems with keep wall exploits. Customer service, although I rarely need them, gets back to me in hours, is friendly, and has been helpful. My ESO Plus always renews, my Crowns always appear. While I do get bugs, and some PVE server attention deficit disorder, this is well below the level of annoyance. I let ZOS know when it is otherwise.

So yeah... very happy with the game as it exists today on the Live server.

My greatest fear is that One Tamriel will change the game so much that it won't be fun to go find my own things to do because there will be so much less for me to do. If the game becomes an at-level romp through a scaled world where all the monsters, resources, and challenges are the same, and every player is striving to be doing end-game content and PVP, exclusively, there won't be much of interest for me to do. If anything makes me leave ESO, it will be One Tamriel.

It's fine if you don't like the game, denigrating those who do helps no one.

Honestly I'm more worried about the people that say they are unhappy and constantly repeat that ESO is terrible, or s***, or a scam, etc. Why do you still play if everything is so awful?

Not really. On negative threads people are usually quick to jump in and mention what a small amount of the player base actually use the forums. So no poll or and post on the forum is an accurate picture of how people really feel.

If it is true of the negative results, it is also true of the positive reaults.

If I weren't generally happy, I wouldn't be here. I would neither praise the game nor complain about the game on the forums, because I would be off doing something else.

It is, in fact, the generally high quality of so much of the game that makes the game's failures all the more noticeable and bothersome. A sense of "how did the same people who did [brilliant thing] also do [very not-brilliant thing]?" comes up pretty frequently for me.

I can get pretty frustrated, but only because I've seen just how good ZOS is capable of being.

I do what I can with my guild. Imperial City still seems to work really well, and the Trials aren't as buggy as the dungeons, so we spend a lot of time in both.

When I am not doing stuff with them, I am running the Thieves Guild repeatables, hanging out in chat, and gathering crafting supplies.

Sometimes I get ambitious and grind a bit on a lower level character.

I play for guildies and guild chat. That's pretty much the only thing that still works in this game on Xbox that I enjoy. When we have less people joining the chat than we do leaving (and we have lost a lot of members because they gave up trying to get their favorite character out of Wrothgar) then that will be the end.

Until then, I will keep picking flowers and chatting about the meaning of life.

The graphics are stunning and the PvE content is generally well made. The combat mechanics are like no other game I've played before.

I don't play for the graphics or the PvE content. I play for the combat mechanics. The competitive PvP. That part is currently in a bad place, and I see no sign on the PTS that it is getting any better. We'll see.

Generally happy, but there's a big catch.

In PvP I avoid every server with lots of lag aka the only truly active server on PS4 NA (Scourge).

In PvE I avoid running group dungeons and entering all but a few zones for fear of lag and load screens every ~8 seconds.

I have to accomodate for ESO's horrible performance to have fun now in this game by avoiding ~90% of the content....

At least I have fun in the last 10% of content though
