Potion Multiplier, instead of being stood at a table for minutes on end.

Why is there not a potion multiplier at the side of the reagents selected? I find it incredibly boring to sit there and watch as my character stands at the table making 4 potions at a time.

Surely it would be much easier and faster to just select the solvent and reagents you want to use and then use times multiplier on the side to craft however many you need? Obviously it would only let you go up to the lowest amount of item in your inventory.

You could even display the amount of potions that are going to be created with regards to how many skill points you have in "Chemistry", I've literally wasted hours of my life crafting potions, I think a quick craft option needs to be available, please don't tell me this is an immersion thing.

If you're on PC there is an addon for this. It's great for grinding out crafting skills.

    Hi @Leandor ,

Macros and addons that allow players to automate and perform multiple actions with a single keystroke is a violation of our Terms of Service. All examples you provided do fall under automation, and as such are not allowed via our Terms of Service.

I do use this addon, as do multitudes of others and the risk of ever getting anything happen to you because you use it is miniscule but I believe ZOS should look into the suggestion @Samphaa has made. If it's annoying enough for people to make an addon that circumvents something then the developers should modify how that particular thing works.

I'm all for a multiplier, or just a "craft x" button that crafts them all immediately. When you're crafting thousands of potions/food it can be really frustrating.

    11) Craft the same way we sell, by setting quantities and calculating price.

I don't know who else crafts food for cash the way I do, but hitting the X button hundreds of times with a (1-2 second wait between each) is utterly maddening.

When I go to sell that food, I can set the quantity and the total price is calculated...why can't I craft the same way?

If I have enough materials to make 50 Markath Mead worth 5 Gold, and the Chef/Brewer passives to make 4 servings each time, then 50 x 4 x 5 = 1000 Gold. Ta da!

Even if you're still leveling the craft in question, the "inspiration" is just another variable in a simple formula.

Yes, it is technically a violation of the ToS, which I must say is the single most asinine thing that ZOS has ever said. I understand that they want to take a strong stance against automated playing and bots and that they don't want to leave any wiggle room in the rules, but that does not make it any less dumb.

I have never heard of anyone being disciplined for using non-combat automation addons like this or Roomba or the skip-empty-pages functionality in AwesomeGuildStore. All of these addons simply improve portions of the default UI that are, frankly, terrible on their own. It would be great if ZOS added the functionality provided by these addons to the default UI, but we've been beating that drum for two years now and nothing has changed.

I've stuck with this game though a lot of ups and downs, but if they actually start disciplining people for using simple quality-of-life addons that do not affect any other players then I'm out of here.

Mass-crafting, deconstruction and upgrading are all a pain in the wrist.

zos consider the add on and 'actionable offence' i assume because on an alt you could level your alchemy in 1 second (given enough ingredients)

so as a work around, why not add it as a an additional perk you can unlock once alchemy is adequately levelled, ie. allows you to use 3 reagents & select number of potions/poisons you would like to craft

No, that's just trying to say impatience should run everything. Also you just confessed to violating ToS :)

I have always been surprised there was not a way to set the amount to be crafted for potions and foods. No one just makes 4 of these. Maybe not Enchanting, but I frequently make 7 at a time for armor sets.

It's because it's a time sink. They want people to play as long as possible. That's why we don't have an auction house, or any other time saver. It's all a time sink.

I am a console player and so I couldn't use add on's even if i wanted too.

i simply made a suggestion as to how a useful feature could be introduced to the game without having to use an add on that is currently considered an actionable offence.

no argument... simply a valid opinion!

I'm going to trollpost even though I somewhat agree.

alchemy is chemistry in eso. As a chemist I can say that it should be slow to add a layer of realism. Chemistry is extremely slow in general and everything from prep to synth to cleanup takes multiple hours. Particularly I do R&D for energetic compounds (boom booms) and one particular compound we work with, in synthesis, had a 66hour reflux time.

same step, every time. I think to add realism each potion should take 100 hours to obtain.

Even when you use one of those add-ons, it doesn't take care of your crafting needs in 1 second lol. It takes just as much time as it would if you hit it manually (there's a 1-2 second timeout), you just don't have to push the button evert single time.

It's crazy that this kind of functionality is even called 'macros' together with so many other offences. I mean, i see the technicality why the term still applies, but in reality the use is so limited and harmless that it should hardly be seen as offense at all. IMO

Which is why ZOS allows the add-on to still exist. They do shut down, or remove the functionality of some add-ons that they don't like.
