What is block mitigation?

I have no idea what it means but I got the footman set for my tank anyways cause people say its useful. i got alongside it Ebon set.

So can someone please tell me what it does exactly?

If you hold Block, you get a percentage reduction to all incoming damage. Using footman adds more reduction, meaning you will take less damage when blocking.

Do not know if Footman is additive or multiplicative, but assuming the first, it will reduce the damage you take, with the percentage mentioned, when you block.

It's the amount of damage blocking mitigates.

Mitigate means to reduce or redirect. Really, it's just a normal English word, you can look it up in an online dictionary.

then why don't they write damage reduction like in every other set or skill in the game?

Anyways its goid to know so 12% block damage reduction thats nice

Because, mitigation is semi-common terminology for damage reduction in MMOs and RPGs.
