EU server is in EU.
NA server is in NA.
There are only 2 servers, not 4. I just named them.
Lordrichter is correct, they do maint. at the same time because it caused problems when they tried to do as you suggest. So you can have your maint. at the same time as the NA server, or you can have it break and be down all day.
Megaserver IS a thing. I suggest...google...
You are welcome for the opportunity to play this amazing game. You are welcome that they cared enough to put a server over there in the first place.
Yeah it's a thing on Elder scrolls wiki to describe a singular network of servers. They lack servers and they lack the ability to perform services on them.
The game having maintenance at bad times. Bugs aren't fixed in minor patches. The server was offline for 8 hours on Monday. Don't accuse me of being privileged because they are providing a terrible service for what I paid for. Sub par for 70 pound.
Don't confuse the issue of needing to fix bugs with the server times.
These are two separate issues.
I'm not going to make a separate thread for them. Just make enough noise in this one so they at least HAVE to look.

After reading my post again, I agree. That last paragraph didn't exactly say what I meant lol
What I'm trying to say is...at times, we all (forum users) need to remember that playing this game is not a right, its a privilege. Always a little too much griping going on here. I am just glad to live in a free country where I can do whatever I want. There are people in the world who don't even have a floor in their shack let alone running water and electricity. Here we are QQ'ing about all our first word problems.
Didnt mean that one server is better or worse. Just be glad to be able to play a game.
EU trading laws make games a right not a privilege. How can people not know this?Verbalinkontinenz wrote: »

At the very least I can ask for a refund of the ESO plus I got last week.

Doesn't apply to UK law

Any investor in Europe right now if aware of current issues would sue about the non-standard of game. They have advertised a working server so they need to provide by law in Europe a working server.

i am from germany, and in germany also that terms work.ScottK1994 wrote: »It's bizarre do Americans really have to follow those terms of conditions? Valen_Byte wrote: »They do that all the time. Gena, is very good about keeping us up to date when the severs are down for longer than expected times.
This 'list of complaints' so far only has one actual complaint as the rest have been proven to be inaccurate. As for the maint. times, if we go another 4 months without one, you wont care when they do it. Also, 8 hr maint is not the norm.
Jeez, Im starting to sound like a fanboy lol I assure you I'm not. I just like my complaints to have a bit more validity.
ScottK1994 wrote: »I don't want a refund. Part of that law is the right to repair. I want the game at a working order.
Maintenance isn't part of that but this topic has become a collection of my peeves. Maintenance doesn't have to be early but it shouldn't be 8 hours. Unless they tell us beforehand. It's just good business to have a working game and treat your customers with understanding(just say "oh we thought we'd be done by now. We'll get back on it. Sorry." Instead of nothing until it came back online.

ScottK1994 wrote: »When the game launched the EU servers were in the US, but sometime in the first year they were moved to Europe.
The timing of the maintenance windows has nothing to do with it.
It's not though. American and European servers go off on the exact same second every time. They're either the two most in sync areas ever or they're the same

A simple traceroute will tell you where the server is physically located ...
