The one major change I would like to see is a more functional UI when browsing traders. There's really no reason a search function should not exist for console users.

( MAYBE AT THE START ) but now i have to scroll through hundereds of guild traders looking for EG.. type x bow .. costing me alot of screwing around .. okay so i find type x bow at franks trader for arguments sake.. he wants 200k for it either a i cant find another exactly the same so im stuck paying 200k or i find one at jims trader for 100k i dont see the difference why are they not put at 1 central location and have direct marker where i can buy what i want at the cheapest price..
So i should also be able to sell what i want how i want and when i want without having to pay someone else to !! sure take a fee for the listing fine.. another example was a motif for blacksmithing yesterday i brought 1 at 6k then few hours later was browsing another trader and found the same one at 1.6k... cant see how if there both together on a gobal AH it going to raise prices !!
That is why my argument for having a gobal AH makes more sense so no one loses apart from the tax thats added for the sale of the items gold sink how much is really needed as ppl get richer and prices go down they just have more gold to spend and then on what if things are cheap... as for a big gold sink when they do housing do instanced housing at a cheapish cost 100k + and then have guild houses in the 2-3mill cost gives a masive gold sink and something for the guild to work towards and it will rip millons out of the economy.. ZOS will know exactly what every player every guild would have gold wise just set housing prices to reflect the current economy!! MY guess is it will be pushed to the crown store at a cost:(Vulsahdaal wrote: »snakester320 wrote: »SO how do i find this so called hundreds and thousands of gold in a few weeks NO chat on PS4 do i just start spamming randoms with group invites looking for a traders guild? ..
As mentioned before, unfortunately you have to wait for text chat to come to console. Then you wont have to look for a trading guild, they will look for you by advertising for members in zone chat. Or if youre the more the solo type, you can sell your items directly to the public through zone chat.snakester320 wrote: »gill sink for rich guilds means what blow 10mill bidding on a guild trader make it back having a trader how does that make it a gil sink!! i can see that like most ppl against the gobal ah are just trying to protect there business .. cant tell me of whatever you charge ppl to sell the leaders are not making a hansome profit over the top!!
Im not sure where you get info from, but truth is many large trade guilds are lucky if they make enough to cover cost of renting trade spot week to week. Many guild masters have to put their own personal gold in to cover this and other guild expenses and certainly are not making any personal profit, handsome or not..If a guild does 10 mil in sales a week, only a very tiny percentage of that goes to the guild, the rest goes to ZOS or the player who is selling the item..thats why some guilds need to charge a fee though many do not and get gold in other ways such as through raffles, auctions or voluntary donations etc..
They are several guilds name Auction house you can join, but this topic has been brought up dozen of times, tamriel operates like a capitalist economy which means if a player and the guild work hard enough they reap the benefits of the current system which is the best. Auction house concept feels like a handout plus you won't make nearly as much gold cause you will be competing with thousands of players selling the same item and if you not the cheapest and your name not on the top of the page no gold for you
Sadly it will never happen because to many players want to keep there gold making ways to themselves and a gobal AH threatens there bussiness !! tthats the long and short of it they already corner the market so why let that stop!!CromulentForumID wrote: »They are several guilds name Auction house you can join, but this topic has been brought up dozen of times, tamriel operates like a capitalist economy which means if a player and the guild work hard enough they reap the benefits of the current system which is the best. Except the game's economy is not only measured by how much gold you can make. If that is the main argument against a global auction house, it is a pretty poor one. What about:
Are items at less than max level available for players to purchase, at any price? For example, how about Warlock in level 20?
Are those lower-level items then affordable for a newer player who has not had time to amass gold?
Can a player find a guild to join that they can afford? Can they find a guild at all?
Is forum activity or researching outside of game a reasonable expectation for players to be able to participate in the economy as a seller?
I see way too many posts that ignore the buying side of the economy. Also, it is not as easy as "just get a guild." I joined several of them, but they quickly closed or could not get a kiosk. Even established guilds many times lost their bids. I did research on the forums. You know how I managed to finally get in a nice place? Invites from friends. That is not available to everyone.
If the argument is zone chat, that doesn't apply to consoles, unless you think running around cities to cover it in voice chat is effective or acceptable.
An economy is best when it can apply to everyone, not just some, and not only when you can make the most money. There are people who don't care about top-end gear, they don't need to purchase expensive items, they just want to make some gold so they can afford armor repairs and other gameplay costs.
I know we'll never get a global auction house, and I know there are some drawbacks. I just don't find a couple of expensive end-game items or less money on sales to be a sufficient drawback compared to how many people are excluded from the economy with the current system.

Actually, I do regularly sell <50 gear and I try to post them in traders that are in level appropriate zones if possible. I haven't found a Warlock piece at that level in a while, but two of my characters wore them as they leveled and I found 2-3 pieces and bought the rest from traders.CromulentForumID wrote: »Except the game's economy is not only measured by how much gold you can make. okay so i pulled a figure out of my arse !! how the hell do i know ?? the purpose of the figure to idiots who didnt understand the reasoning was as a gold sink back into the game !!! SO as a guild leader with a trader it costing you 500k of your own gold to keep the trader going you are losing half a mill every whatever so when your gold runs out then what UMM you lose your trader?? So if you didnt have to pay for a trader you wouldnt lose 500k right?? I THINK THATS A NO BRAINER!!wenchmore420b14_ESO wrote: »Vulsahdaal wrote: »snakester320 wrote: »gill sink for rich guilds means what blow 10mill bidding on a guild trader make it back having a trader how does that make it a gil sink!! i can see that like most ppl against the gobal ah are just trying to protect there business .. cant tell me of whatever you charge ppl to sell the leaders are not making a hansome profit over the top!!

I too wonder where you got this info. Traders, even the one's in Mournhold and Rawl'kha are not near 10mill a week.(NA/PC).
As a guild leader, I can assure you we DO NOT make a profit, and is quiet the opposite as I myself have put in over 500k in personal gold in just a month to keep a trader. Guilds only get 3% of the sales from guild stores, and that does not even begin to cover the cost of the kiosk. You obviously do not know the in's and out's of how trading guilds work.
My friends and family are casual players, and never use the guild traders. They say the search sucks and they never find what they want. They play as if it does not exist, vendoring all loot.
I myself have used it in the past, but rarely.
