No. You are complaining/whining. Vigor is a PvP skill. The day we don't have to grind lorebooks or Undaunted is the day you can have Vigor added to some "top end PvE content." Man up and go PvP, get good, earn some AP, and enjoy having earned the skill.
I remember back when Vigor required over 6M AP to get; they've since reduced the cost by over 98%...

PvP causes stress, change in behavior, loss of sleep and I am sure there are other side effects. I think I might have to create a new character that describes me in PvP. "Toxic Drama Queen".

pvp is not skill dnt kid yurself many have stated its just standing on a wall or in a zerg to get vigor. no one is trying to make u less of a special snowflake just simply suggested a pve counterpart.
i do not share your "its only" that "its only" is like rank 10 to me right now.. cyrodil is huge i have no idea whats going on, wen i finally found a group we just sat in one spot for a while, zerged on something got very lil AP.. then did that again. dnt know how this can be fun.
for a skill this powerful for stambuilds in endgame pvp/pve content, i feel there should be an equal PVE counterpart.
Saying that people aren't forced to do something and in the same breath saying they're required is rather contradictory. As for the other things required for high-level gameplay (consumables et al.), those can be acquired by doing either PvP or PvE. I'm advocating that people should be able to do the content they want to without having to slog through content they don't want to do. The reasoning behind this stance is that, once all is said and done, ESO is a game. It's something people play to have fun. I don't think people should have to do something they don't enjoy just so they can get tools required to experience the content they find fun. You're not being "forced" to do anything, and there is no problem here.Aemon_Isklexi wrote: »I don't think PvE players should be forced to do PvP to get a critical skill, nor should PvP players have to do the reverse.
You can get along just fine without Vigor, Dawnbreaker, or Meteor. Yes, they are nice to have, and yes, they are essential and required for high-level gameplay. But a lot of other things are also required for high-level gameplay--gear, consumables, gold, git gud, etc. Do you propose we eliminate that, too?
If you want to just get by in Tamriel, you don't need to do anything that you don't want to. And for people who aspire to be more, the game encourages them to branch out and be more well-rounded. I think that's a good thing, and this whining about "Oh, I don't want to PvP to PvE" or "I don't want to PvE to PvP" is, frankly, childish. You want something? Earn it. All the better if it also takes you out of your comfort zone.

You're conflating terms here. Its pretty obvious what @KenaPKK meant here. Don't think I'm a member of his fanclub or anything either, because we've butted heads over other ideas here on the forums. I just call things like I see them. Kena was saying it was a Pvp (alliance war) skill line earned from doing PVP. He wasn't bragging about anything, just suggesting that you go do alliance war for alliance war rewards (if you like those terms better) in the same way that people who are PVP-focused are forced to do Undaunted dailies to be at the peak of their game. Ultimately, it has gotten much easier to hit Alliance War 10 in your skills, enough that anyone can do it. Stretch a little and you might find you like cyrodiil more. I'm one of those wierd ducks that likes it all. A lot of my pvp friends (some of whom would be recognizable if I said their names) have told me of their own experiences with PVE. I usually find that while many players lean one way or another, you'll find that quite a few PVP'ers appreciate the PVE content, and they wouldn't have gotten to that point had they not NEEDED to do it. It offers an alternative when you're just not in the mood. Alternatives are good, I really recommend you open your mind, and try to take fun from the experience. Look at pvp like playing Battlefront or Halo or counterstrike or such, if you've enjoyed those in the past.
Not true at all to be competitive you need to do these things.Ep1kMalware wrote: »Yes because the PVE in this game is so good its like the divines came down themselves and made it,lmao no your not forced to do it but everyone is forced to do the PVE in this game even if they don't enjoy it.You have a choice to PVP or not others don't have the same choice with PVE.I find it too ironic, the PVP in the game is so bad, yet you are forced to do it.
forced to pve in what regard? the only thing you're forced to do in this game before you can do whatever you want s reach level 10.If your a stam build you need fighters guild for your only physical scaling ultmate need those to kill people.Have to Grind PVE mobs to level up because PVP experience is crap.Which I actually have no problem with grinding a character and will NP.Also if you want to be really competitive you need Maelstroms weapons.I still haven't beat the last round of that got dam place yet. While yes you can PVP at 10 if you don't PVE you won't be able to kill people for a long time unless you run with a zerg and than you will never be good.Sorry OP I don't feel bad for you at all. I need to do tedious and boring pve content to level up mages guild, fighters guild and undaunted so....
id like to take this moment and apologize to the ppl in this thread.... pvp is fun.. when it is organized and tactical, just had a session were this was happening, we lost and we won but it was fun, also had a gentlemen take the time to teach me the ropes, much appreciated to that fellow... but i would like to say, standing on the wall and repairing is boring do not recommend that to new ppl anymore.
