I don't understand how people can't get the dye colors in game they want.
Only ones I'm still missing are the ones related to trophies and I probably wouldn't use those dyes anyway.

When you click the dye stamp in the PTS crown store, it previews what those dyes look like on your current equipped. Does not preview on underwear or polymorphs because those can't be dyed.
And there are a lot of permutations of the stamps (18 on PTS currently) so if it's yellow/green/gray on one, there's probably a green/yellow/gray, a gray/green/yellow, a yellow/gray/green, and so on. Not every combo, but a lot of them. There's a good chance that if you want colors channels swapped, there's a stamp for that.
Not saying it's all that great to begin with. But it's slightly more advanced than what you've suggested.

These dye tokens are for use with costumes.

If I decide to dye my costumes, I'll sub for a month to do it. Good selection of fully customizable dyes, 1500 crowns back - there's no downside. Dye stamps are too limiting in comparison. They're cheap, I'll give them that, but in every other respect it's an awful system.

Do you mean disguises? Because you can't dye the quest disguises. Just costumes and hats that are added to your Collections interface.
