Disappearing achievements, has this happened to you?

Whilst finishing off some public dungeons, I noticed that a previous one I had done, The Village of the Lost, was showing up as unearned. Even though I had previously unlocked them all a long time ago (killed all bosses and did the group event) I also have the memento from the quest. I submitted a ticket a few days ago but haven't gotten a reply.
This happened before with a trophy, got the banekin horn, but it didn't show up as earned. Didn't bother to report it though and got another later, and that has stayed no problem.

So has this happened to anyone else?

Are you sure you'd earned it? Which achievement in particular are you talking about?

Public dungeon boss achievements have 2 tiers: Vanquisher (defeat 3 bosses) and Conqueror (defeat all 5 bosses). Village of the Lost is particularly large and often bosses aren't up when you pass their spawn locations, so it's easy to overlook some.

As for monster trophies, originally when you got the drop you had to USE it to add it to your collection. In fact you could bank it and use it on a different character. This has been changed so that trophies are now automatically added to your collection upon logging them, and you can no longer bank them or use them. Could it be that you never used the banekin horn and that you got it before this change?

I've never noticed any achievement or trophy I've earned being rolled back.

In addition to what is posted above me, something to take note of is that if you don't do enough damage to the boss (you join near the end of the fight), the game may not register you credit for the kill. This is easily seen in IC with patrolling horrors not dropping loot/stones if a large group is present and did a vast majority of the damage.

I have Destinations addon which showed me all the boss locations and yes I earned all achievements (Conqueror + group event), I remember because I first did it without the addon, then I realized I had missed some and went back and killed them all for good measure.
@Vercingetorix I made sure I earned them before I left the dungeon.

That might be a possible explanation for the Banekin horn trophy, it was quite a while ago now.

There are two quests in each Public Dungeon, did you do both of them? Killing Bosses and doing the Group Event are separate and do not count towards completing the dungeon. For VoL, you need Holes in the World and Soul Survivors (and I forget which of the two complete the dungeon)

Probably completed both, but don't think the quests have anything to do with the boss achievements though.

Not for Bosses, but for turning the Icon White on the map they do. It was unclear exactly what your missing from the OP. I think there is also an achievement for completing these dungeon quests, but that might just be rank and file delves that have those.

Your saying your missing Vanquisher or Conqueror for that dungeon?

Yes it's turned white on the map, it's the achievements for Village of the Lost Vanquisher, Village of the Lost Conqueror and Village of the Lost Group Event that are now showing unearned even though they had been shown as earned before. Sorry for any confusion.

I've had many achievements vanish over the course of my play time in ESO. Haven't checked recently but they would usually happen after an update/patch.

The boss achievements used to vanish in the early days of ESO, when they changed the bosses or boss locations. I remember a friend of mine had his achievements vanish 3 times or so.

I thought they fixed this poop x_x

@Nestor Nope, none of my alts have gotten as far as Coldharbour

Damn, I guess I'll have to do it again then! Not that it's hard or anything, it's just annoying if I have to keep repeating the achievements that I've already completed just 'cuz Zos can't be bothered to look into it!
