They only last a few seconds for me, and for many people it is to do with immersion in that in PvE areas it's less immersion-breaking to have a few invisible players you're not interacting with anyway rather than a few black silhouettes running around.

That's great for you, but for the majority of the console users, silhouettes last much, much longer. If you paused from White Knighting and read the forums, you'd know this is a common complaint.

On a point of information, if you feel the need for a term with which to address me, "old chap" would be more appropriate in my case than "kid" !

Actually, I was trying to berate you a bit since you felt the need to berate others, which was evident from your spelling of "immersion." I could care less how old you are, since I just might be older than you.

Lighten up fellow pensioner, lighten up. I wasn't berating anyone (I'm as keen on immersion as anyone as I made clear in dislike of the black silhouettes, it's just become a joke on this forum to misspell it and I did put it in quotes for that reason), I was just answering those issues I'd encountered and offering advice to the OP on how to approach resolving the others.

I can appreciate that the console version is having some problems at the moment, but of course at the time I wrote my original comment the OP hadn't edited his post to inform us which platform (and server) he was on.

Lighten up? I wish I could. On the contrary, I am angry. I am angry at having paid a monthly subscription for a defective product. I am angry at myself for not cancelling my subscription months ago because I believed ZOS when it said that fixes were on the way. I am angry that customer "support" has been far less than "supportive." I am angry that ZOS, through customer support and employees on the forums, continue the copy /paste advice: power cycle your console, walk slowly through town, wait a while before moving when you've wayshrined in at Orsinium.

I am sad for your anger but at the same time I am happy because I now see that I am not the only one furious with this game and the laughable support we receive. I have spent a grand total of £200 on this game, this includes DLC, ESO membership and of course the game itself, now I know I wont be able to get a refund for the game itself but I am going to try very hard to get a refund for the £140 I have spent on in game content which as it stands I can't even play! I feel I am well within my rights to ask for a refund at this point.

Maybe we should start a support group. lol

I opened a ticket a while back, outlining the issues and asking for a refund of my sub fee or some other form of compensation for being sold a defective product. I told them that I honestly did not care what the compensation was because all I wanted was a tangible expression acknowledging my frustration and that they wronged me. I received two replies, both of which were copy/paste responses telling me to power cycle my xbox, close all the apps, etc. Neither response engaged my request for compensation.

I hope it works out better for you.

we would make a damn better support team then these fools haha and xbox have told me that as long as I can get one of these stupid copy and paste fools to give the go ahead Microsoft can refund me for everything! so that's awesome news, I am currently waiting on this crap support team to get back to me and I'll be in business :)

Platform? Server? Where are you playing from?

Submit a ticket or PM an admin here to get your Wrothgar character moved. Although this week's patch is supposed to have fixed the issue (I've no idea if it has or hasn't) that's not for characters already stuck there and they will need to be moved by ZOS.

The black silhouettes when you enter an area are both intentional and desirable, they were introduced at the request of PvPers who were being jumped by characters that didn't appear immediately when entering an area, although from a PvE perspective I prefer it the way it was as they rather spoil my "immurshun"!

I can't comment on the rest of your problems as I've never encountered them, but check out the technical support forum for your platform and see if anyone can assist.

That is exactly what I thought too but they haven't fixed a damn thing, this is the second patch in the space of about 3 weeks, they took the servers offline for about 8 hours both times and upon reading the patch notes they have changed a lot but absolutely nothing relating to the invisible NPC's or the stupid loading screens we have to deal with. As I mentioned I have contacted them many many times but they give me dreadful support... I am on Xbox one on the European server

I'm xb1 EU and I've noticed a huge performance increase after the latest patch.

You did? huh well once I downloaded this lovely new update I did my crafting writs in deshaan and then went to wrothgar I read that the fixed wrothgars crashes so I wanted to put that to the test, so I got on my wolf and sprinted as fast as I could though the city and a loading screen popped up, so I thought ok ok slow it down a bit then a second loading screen and then a third and then boom total blackout, sent straight to the dashboard and cant load up my character any more because he is currently standing in wrothgar so if you'd be so kind, did they fix any of the serious problems the game currently has or... did they fix the monk robe giving us UI errors or that you can no longer deposit the monk robe into our banks? because we really needed that above all else right?

if it takes 10 minutes for NPCs to load, it snot a ZOS problem. its more than likely a ping problem or processing problem on your end. sure there are some issues here and there, but nothing like that. i would want to know what kind of internet serrvie you have, download speed/etc and what kind of pc you are playing on, ememory, graphics card and such

If you read my post you would know that 1. I am not on PC and 2. my internet speed is listed, seriously no offence but people like you who come in and say its my internet or you are not having these issues could you kindly go away, everyone is having these problems so you telling me its my internet or that yours is perfectly fine really just irritates me.

It has nothing to do with immersion, kid. The silhouettes wouldn't be so bad if they didn't last for upward of ten minutes in any given city.

Dude posts a helpful reply and you call him a kid.

Play on a real platform and maybe they won't take 10 minutes to load, kid.
Wake up, we're here. Why are you shaking? Are you ok? Wake up...

To sum this all up for you ladies and gentleman, this game is amazing please don't get me wrong, this is by no means a hate thing for ZOS or the elder scrolls online but my problem is that since October last year when they brought out the orsinium update they have done nothing to fix the decaying frame rate and texture issues or the loading screens in wrothgar. They have just brought out more DLC costing more money for example that black senche panther they brought out which cost 4000 crowns! or the walking bank or merchant at both 5000 crowns each! It just seems to me that all this company cares about is money... they don't care about fixing the game just as long as they have steady DLC coming out. Since the orsinium DLC came out they have brought out countless updates and patches but nothing has been done to fix these serious problems so for that reason I'm out.

Read the comments. I explained why I wrote that (which had to do with something he initially wrote - no, not his "helpful" comment, something else). He explained why he wrote what he did. It was a misunderstanding. We both moved on. The conversation changed tone. You're bringing it back up for no apparent reason other than you want to express yourself, I guess.

EDIT: Btw, the platform has little to do with it. Pre-DB patch, the loading time was maybe 10-15 secs. Everything changed with the patch.

I also have all your listed issues, playing on ps4. I also raised a ticket and was told the same. I did all the steps suggested, cleared cache, reset console, reset router and no change.

I only started having the loading screens pop up in open world after the last update. I also now have the map issues, it takes 5-10 min for objectives to show on the map after selecting the quest/finishing an objective.

Npc's take around ten min to load when going to a new area or through a door.

It also keeps locking me into third person view every so often when travelling to a way shrine.

I love this game and have invested so much time and money but they seriously need to fix these issues.
