One year from nbow - will you still be playing?

This poll isn't meant as a bait poll and all answers will be anonymous. It IS meant to for debating though and for people to EXPLAIN (if they want) why they will be here or why they will leave. I've tried to give a decent sized selection of answers although some picky nobweasel will moan about something being missing lol. If you are staying - what things do you enjoy about the game that make you stay (be specific as possible)? If you think you will be gone, what could the devs do to the game to make you stay? If you are unsure, what could the devs do to convince you that staying is definitely a good move? PLEASE DON'T TURN THIS INTO A RANT THREAD - POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE, PLEASE KEEP YOUR FEEDBACK CONSTRUCTIVE. EXPLAIN your point of you view and leave feedback that hopefully ZoS will take notice of and can use to improve this game that we all enjoy.

If R* release red dead 3, i'll leave for like 3 months. But if they don't fix pvp lag in 4 months after my return, i'll leave and wait for tes 6.

I for sure will be playing it after a year too. screw the bugs, I still love the game, I mean seriously, I never have ever played a game, that I would enjoy more than a year now and still be excited about what new content will come in the future.

It might even take longer than this - Todd was very clear about that it will be a long long wait to a TES VI release. And I see the tendency of ZOS doing smaller DLCs now as supporting evidence, that it will take a while longer and they have to bridge the gap by slowing down the completion of Tamriel provinces in ESO.

There are other games on the horizon that have my attention even now. If there was more in ESO to do that I want to do, it might be different. As it is now, I log in out of obligation not because of wanting to log in.

I like to think about the state of the game a year ago and think of all the good things that came afterwards and... yeah, there are problems, of course. There are always problems. But the game has been improving TONS since its release two years and some more ago... And that's a good thing.

Some people dared to say that ESO was the worst MMO ever. Well, then - the good thing of being the worst is that when you move you can only get better, right? And everything moves :P just like the barons from Maelstrom arena... *ahem* I digress.

Anyway, yeah, I love the game and I'll probably be around. Unless I die or something like that but it's not on my plans.

Kinda plumbed the depths of combat. There's much build crafting to be done, but very little left in the advancement of skills. If the cooldowns were shorter and more varied, there'd be more thrilling attacks. Few things get me briefly excited like canceling into a bash. Too bad I have to 1 second afterwards to attack again. :(

While I want to support ESO, I will be cutting back on that support without a deeper rabbit hole to explore.

I know for sure that I'll be playing for another year because of how much I enjoy this game - not only as an MMO, but as an Elder Scrolls game!

Morrowind made me feel like living in Tamriel for several times across a decade - leaving the same memorable ship countless times and exploring the awe-inspiring wilds of Vvardenfell; not knowing of the destiny that lies ahead in fighting the False God under the Mountain.

Oblivion made me feel like living in Tamriel more times than Morrowind did since 2006 - leaving the dark prison countless times and exploring the breadth and scope that Cyrodil has to offer; and tasked by the Emperor himself to reignite the Dragonfires and close shut the jaws of Oblivion.

Skyrim made me feel like living in Tamriel even more so than Oblivion did since 2011 - barely escaping execution countless times and exploring the primeval landscapes of Skyrim; and embracing destiny as the last Dragonborn to save the world from the claws of the Eater of Worlds.

With the Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, I can live in Tamriel more so than any of the Elder Scrolls games before it; exploring the forgotten ruins of the Ayleids in Glenumbra; or vanquishing the forces of Molag Bal in Coldharbour; or maybe fishing in the serene woods of Greenshade. It's true that Elder Scrolls Online falls in some regards but with the amount of work and dedication Zenimax put into the game, transforming it from the underwhelming Elder Scrolls Online launch to the massive improvement that is Tamriel Unlimited years later, it's no surprise that amazing things are coming to the game!

That being said, I have high hopes for what ZOS has in-store for ESO in the years to come! So to answer the question again, yes, I'll be playing this game longer! :)

EDIT: Fixed a few grammatical errors.

Yes, and with One Tamriel the level-gated zones will finally cease to exist and we have all the freedom we need to do what we want to do - I can go hunting without to outlevel a quest - this was a big issue for me so far, I like exploration and with it comes that I kill a lot of mobs - I like leveling like this and do just sometimes here and there a quest, where I think, there could be a skill point as reward, but otherwise I like to just play in the open world without to quest a whole lot.

It is much like you put it - living in Tamriel - I do what is fun to me doing and if a quest giver has an appealing task or something what I deem worth supporting, then I do this quest, otherwise he can ... himself - not my problem at all.

Exactly! Which is why I'm 140% for One Tamriel! The complete freedom to do anything! Whenever and wherever! :)

Nothing. But one can have hope.
The chances that the absurd lag is ever going to get fixed are more or less zero for this game. We've had lag for 2 years, it got worse with every update, hit the absolute lowest in 1.6, got slightly better in the IC patch and has since just been going down again.

Don't misunderstand, I love the game. I love its PvP, the whole combat system (even after the unnecessary changes they made and can't seem to fix) and its community.
But the lag is honestly too much at some point. Everything else doesn't even matter tbh. I don't care about exploits and bug. Not even the cheaters bother me as much as the lag.
If your game doesn't function properly because of the large scale combat it was advertised for, something is terribly wrong.
ESO simply has the luck that there is still no alternative.

Camelot Unchained sounded interesting until I found out it's a sandbox game. And then I took a look and lo and behold - it looks very very basic. The graphics look terrible too. It just looks so basic and cheap. Sand box games never ever seem to hit the spot. Not for me at least.

I still have a lot of faith in this game and I do mean a LOT. BUT - I feel that ZoS really need to listen to their customers and acknowledge them. I don't expect them to implement every suggestion from players but neither should they view us, the players as commodities and water carriers. We bought this game because we believe(d) in it.

I'd like to see a glimpse of how the team approach the game from their side - maybe a little video of how each team works and develops content for the game but also how they go about resolving performance issues. Do teams work collectively to address problems or is there a dedicated team tasked with dealing solely with performance issues?

We have had some brilliant DLC so far but the excitement these days seems to be tempered with a resignation that the game performance will also be taking a hit as there are always so many bugs and there seems to be a lack of either manpower or knowledge (or both) as to how to address and fix them.

I would LOVE for ZoS to take a big bold step and say "OK folks, we have heard your complaints about bugs, lag and general performance. We're not going to have a DLC release in Q# but instead are going to fully commit all our resources to analyze and address as many of the issues that we know all of you have been experiencing to various degrees. There will be no crown store charge of any description for the big bug fixing patch, and while we may take a hit financially, we want to do this as a commitment to YOU - our loyal community and hopefully we can begin to rebuild trust in our doubtful players and excitement for the future in all of our fantastic community. We've set targets internally for what we want to achieve - we won't disclose these publicly but instead expect over the coming months to read about the noticeable changes we know you will begin to experience. Less lag, less crashes, no loading screens, improved audio, improved animation, fully working skills and passives. We aren't miracle workers but we promise you - we are going to give this our fullest attention and to get the game to a level that you won't recognise it - for all the RIGHT reasons. From all of us at Zenimax Online"

Hey, I'm allowed to dream right? And I live in hope! :)

If they don't improve the game in this time then why should I stay? I'm already reaching my own personal breaking point due to a lack of incentive to do what content there is and even worse a lack of challenge (coupled with how broken Cyrodiil is, like for real, gods they really hate PvPers)
