How do they do proper maintenance on the server if they never turn them off? I have to reboot my PC every now and then to ensure performance is maintained. Downtime allows for flushing of temporary files, wiping of any hanging codes, installing of OS updates, defragging the storage and cleaning the memory. Without downtime, the servers would stagnate as all of these things pile up.angelweave wrote: »You know there is a AAA mmo that does not have downtime for server maintenance

Zos are anything but forward thinkers... expecting them to be revolutionary is just too much.

And expecting them to fork out vast sums of money, resources and time to restructure their entire farm just to cater for a bunch of addicts who can't get their ESO fix for a few hours .. is .. what?
Don't answer that, it was a rhetorical question.

Yeh because improving their architecture and delivering those improvement to their paying customers is just stupid...
I wouldn't mind if those LONG weekly maintenance had some.....results. LAG improvement?Nope its getting worst. BUG fixes? huh......
Bottom line 8h weekly maintenance X 4= 32h monthly X 27 Months so far...= 36 Days!!!! So...1 month plus compensation would be fair

You are entitled to nothing.
