In my own opinion I think that once you pay for these 3 items off the crown store, they should be linked with your other characters..

    No.

Maybe they should bring it back to the way it was before: You "feed" your mount instead of training the character's riding skill.
A maximum of 50 "feeds" per mount (you can have more than one mount, though) so you have to pick what skill is important to you.

I will laugh at all the slow mounts every time there's a new one in the crown store.

I understand that everybody wants a maxed level mounts for some reason, but it's not necessary. Just remember to "train" a new character every day when you start off and pick whichever skill is most important to you first (I think for most it's speed).

And then rejoice in the fact that when the zombie guar mount comes out it will be as fast as your other mounts on that character and don't look back.

agree 100% OP. I hate having to max all my skills on every single toon for one mount. Like I'm adventuring and I might not stop in town before I log out for the night. Just let it be a do it once and you're done. That's why I only have one toon at a time. The idea of having to max everything on every toon just makes my skin crawl

I never got to play the game when it was that way. But I don't see why I would have to go through that again when I've already paid for it. I only have one character as well. I dread leveling another because I don't want to have go through all of that again.

+1.. It would not hurt anyone to have a shared riding skill

It would hurt ZoS bottom line.

I, and many of my friends, regularly spend crowns on mount speed upgrades to get new characters moving quickly. I am certain that ZoS makes a good batch of cash from selling those upgrades for real money. If they changed the riding training to cover the account, they would lose the income that many pour into the crown store.

I honestly do not see this ever changing.

It's a gold sink. I understand the need to train each skill individually for each character.

That being the case, I also think it's irritating having to wait 20 hours between each click. If you've got the gold, personally I think you should be able to do it as many times as you want/can afford, without having to wait.

They won't change it. I wonder how much money they make off people who pay for it in the crown store?

My advice would be. Create 8 characters from the start, and wake up every morning to feed/train them.

The Crown Store mount upgrades are for impatient people. Not many would buy them if you didn't have to wait using the guild method, or if the upgrades applied to all characters. They're for the people so used to having a mac speed horse that they but it for their new alts.

Me... I tend to create my alts long before I actually play them. I get their crafting up to 40 by deconstructing gear picked up by my champion level characters, and do their horse training once a day. By the time I play them it's been at least two months and speed is already maxed. :D

Just create the character, pick your most important skill (speed?) and just log in to the character every day for a week to train before you start to actually play them.

I've personally leveled 8 characters to full riding skill and I never bought a riding lesson from the store. It's not as hard as it sounds, because you don't really *need* a maxed mount.
