    Well following lore, pretty much every race plays every class meaning why don't they just let us pick our race and pick a set of passives that we would like. That would be too simple though

    According to lore each race had their own passives (Do you even elder scrolls?)

    Dunmer
    Dynamic: Increase RP walk speed by 50%

    Altmer
    Haughty: Character model height increased 15%

    Bosmer
    Yffre's Elusive Target: Character model height decreased 30%

    Breton
    Treasure of Magnus: Increases gold acquired from treasure chests by 8%

    Redguard
    Conditioning: Crown cost of acquiring new hairstyles reduced by 5%

    Khajiit
    Carnage: Increases red meat and poultry acquired from containers by 12%

    Here's my thought. They are coming out with the ability to change your race. So how does one encourage sales of that? Change the passives.

    Of course there are people who already want to change races, but that is only going to take this so far.

    I hope they don't nerf any of the existing races, besides tweaking adrenaline rush a liddle.
    Would be a very mean move if they nerf what we have.

    I will call down Elven Supremacy on these forums if they touch Altmer. There will be fire :D

    I'd like to see some races become less like must picks for stam or mag builds.
    Stam Highelf or Mag Woodelf should not be options you pick just to nerf your character.

    Yo dawgs, we all know the racial passives are gonna be nerfed to the ground. Why? Because it's no longer 1.6 where you had 2k stamina-magicka.

    People run with 40k+ magicka and close to 40k stamina now. The 10% stat boost is simply too beneficial nowadays.

    The racial passives used to be a little perk that didn't make or break the build, but now with all the numbers going up, the racial passives scale surprisingly well with their percentages.

    Like 7% more flame damage, that is was freaking sweet!

    But let's be honest, it kinda kills the immersion factor. The racial passives are currently way too strong for some races and next to useless on something like Nord.

    I'm actually surprised they are doing this now, and not waiting for the following dlc. What better way to score twice. Everyone changes, then we over haul racial passives and people want to change again.

    Sort of like they did with their 50 dollar merchant. Next dlc, surprise! Crafting bag, inventory almost a nonissue for those people now... Oh we didn't mention that was right around the corner when selling you a 50 dollar bank access to help with storage space? Must have slipped our minds.

    This is what Im worried about. The initial sales for the tokens should be sizeable because its two years worth of people wanting to do something about characters theyve put substantial effort into. But after that it should be a trickle as itll be players here and there trying to correct a mistake.

    All they have to do to keep these sales bumping occasionally is to go back in and make changes to the passives. So not only will we have the flavor of the DLC builds/class every three months but we'll have to keep a look out for the occasional flavor of the month race as well.

    Knowing how these forums can be. There will be a firestorm about it. With them making some half-gesture promise of scaling it back, rather than abandoning entirely the plan for the forumites to accept it with open arms.

    Just a week or two ago I was talking about how much I didnt want to walk away from this game. How much I enjoyed it. Hell, just spent 30 bucks to obtain two new characters and just spent the last few weeks putting together my RP Guild framework. But if these changes to passives are drastic enough I might have to walk away from this game entirely. When they originally announced the Crown Store I pointedly asked them on the Reddit AMA about what would be going into the store, would it be cosmetic or game changing. And they danced around it. Last DLC they made sweeping changes to Enchantment, still waiting to see what they add to the store for it. This time theyre making changes to passives when theyre planning to release race change tokens? I dont buy for a moment that its coincidental.

    Why would they screw with racials at all? The good ones are good. Just buff argonian and make sure kahjiit actually works, the rest are fine. Don't fix what's not broken.

    Since when has ZOS wanted min-maxers or theorycrafters to this game? Since never... they want races to be something cosmetical and currently they are too OP for some ***.

    I doubt most players would want all the races to be equally useful for all kinds of builds. It's interesting the way it is where each race has a unique identity inspired by the lore, with room for creative builds.

    I imagine the developers intend to keep things this way, although a few races could use some slight buffs to bring them up to the level of the others. (Nord and Argonian in particular).

    Taking into consideration players without access to the Explorer pack (any race in any alliance), there should be at least one strong option for magicka and stamina builds in each alliance.

    DC has Breton and Redguard, while AD has Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit. Options for the EP faction are a little weaker than the other two, with Dunmer, Nord and Argonian. All we need is to buff these a bit along with Orc.

    Argonians: Increased swim speed bonus from 50% to 100%
    Deals 95% reduced damage against dunmer because slaves shouldn't hurt their masters

    Yes and without the regen, Dunmer magicka builds end up needing to make certain sacrifices compared to Altmer and Breton like running drinks or more recovery gear.

    Adrenaline rush: Reduced the cooldown to 1 second and now restores 10% of your max stamina

    Khajiit: Carnage gives critical damage aswell

    Bosmer: 10% max stamina instead of 3%

    Why? Because zeni loves stamina :trollface:

    I think they should do a skill tree with the armor and racial passives. Like if the player wanted to tank in leather armor they would go down a path that increases evasion and if they wanted to be a Nord then Nord's can learn brute strength or increased Frost Damage. Something like that. We need skill trees. My friends that I played with and all three of them are Nords and in Heavy Armor and we play just fine.
