Hi all,

I'm a tank, full pve build and don't want to play PvP with this build... My problem is that i need to unlock one skill, the vigor one.

Is there a way to win quickly alliance points in Cyrodil ? Because it's very boring and long with my build... I'm full pve optimized...

Thank u for ur advices ;)

    Some:
    - Repair Walls/Gates
    - Always have the Daily Kill Quest active
    - Be Part of a Group/Zerg
    - When a keep is successfully captured or defended dont run away immediately, wait a few minutes and you will Receive Bonus AP for defending/capturing

There are different ways to get ap
    - If you do damage to an enemy that dies shortly after. The ap you get is related to how much damage you did and how many other people did damage to him and when he had died for the last time
    - If you heal someone who hasn't been healed a lot since the last time he killed someone. The ap are related to how much you actually heal (healing people that are at full health will do nothing)
    - Being in range of a keep / ressource when your alliance successfully captures or defends it. Ap are related to the number of enemies killed divided by the friendly players in range.
    - Within a group ap are shared if you are close to each other

So basicly the fastest way is to defend a keep / ressource alone or with a small group against a bigger number of attackers.

    Follow the big keep/outpost fights.
There is offensive ticks for taking them.
There is defensive ticks for defending them. Though it takes 1.5 min (I think) of no one dying near the keep to get the tick. So always wait after a successful defense till the tick comes. In big fights like last emp keep or such they range often from 1k to 5k ap (also because a lot of people just move out of the keep area and don't get the tick).

Just do it the old fashion way and equip a resto staff, in large fights just span mutagen and healing springs. You'll unlock vigor in one weekend of play if your consider yourself a casual to not so great pvp player.

Once you know what your doing you can unlock vigor in a couple hours on each character.

Use a bow and follow the crowd. As long as you tag another player with poison injection or snipe, you'll get some AP when they are killed. Use arrow barrage at choke points.

As mentioned, repairing walls and using a healing staff are very efficient. Please note, however, that vigor is not the only thing you want to have, just in case. A barrier is nice for tanks as well (if you aren´t a dragonknight), and so are caltrops.

If the aforementioned hints do not help, equip a cheap bow and spam the bow finisher skill into the zerg - or use a catapult.

If you are defending a keep, get some fire siege and oils. Prior to the walls being breached, look for clumps of enemies or spots where allies are fighting outside and drop siege on their heads. Then, fire siege on the breach, Finally, oils above the inner doors if the enemy gets that far.

It helps the defense effort (seems like no one ever wants to run oils), you'll tag lots of players, and you improve your chances or getting a good d tick.

    Hi,

Finally, with your advices, i have unlocked Vigor in 5-6 hours of PVP (only the 5th level, i was 4 before my post)...
I have joined big groups and stay in defense. Was very boring... but have watched the football match in same time XD

Don't know if someone already mentioned this - if you kill a Cyrodiil delve boss before you rush into battle, you get a one hour bonus on AP and XP gains.

This, i'd only add that if you're in a ballgrou/zerg stay in the front, jumping, that is the equivalent of "Taunting" in PvE, the popcorn always get targeted first, and if you, the tank, is being targeted, your group will like you more.

Vigor 1 day, Proxy 2 days. You can be much quicker if you're better than I. Did it with little healing and almost exclusively solo (well, solo as in not grouped. I was seldom all alone.) this weekend on my magicka templar in BWB.

Prioritize defence of keeps. Put down a fire balista or a meatbag and shoot into battles, you tag every enemy and since siege is actually good in BWB, you earn well. That works open field as well, did some of my largest chunks by dancing around a fire balista, healing myself and shooting the enemies that tried to burn the balista.

    Oils FTW!

I love defensive siege. It's a lot of fun when you have a small group defending a keep/outpost against a zerg and you beat them. :-)

Find a coordinated group (guildies maybe?), go to IC, start taking district flags, AP starts rolling in. Unlocked vigor and caltrops in one weekend of play. Going for proxy det next weekend! Because of the PVE aspect and the world bosses in each district, a tank is essential in these runs. Not to mention your chains and talons, if dragonknight, become very welcomed when attacked by enemy players. ++It is not nearly as boring as defending keeps and building back walls! LOL
