All had such things integrated into the game. Such a shame development here didn't make the effort to more. But still glad we have something, albeit the bare minimum they could have done.
For a development that teams that talks so much about the importance immersion, roleplay, and similar... Their actions sure are very different from their words at times.
Still, glad we have something, just saddened it's largely a token effort.

I'm actually very disappointed that there isn't in-game immersive integration @Rev Rielle
TES deserves better than to have their MMO half-assed time and time again.
This is pretty much the last straw for me. I was holding out hope of ESO becoming, over time, a more immersive ELDER SCROLLS type experience.
I no longer feel like that will ever happen. I had faith in ZOS. I had faith that Oblivion alum @ZOS_RichLambert would steer this ship down the Elder Scrolls path. I thought the course could be corrected.
There have been so many good decisions recently with the Dark Brotherhood kill animations, the thieves guild hiding mechanics, the dye stamps for costumes, One Tamriel... but those are just mired in the poor decisions of the rest of the developments.
ESO, with every other decision, is becoming a "cash shop" action RPG.
Good luck ZOS. Good luck. I'll always be around the game to check out what you've cooked up but I'm all out of reasons to continue on this forum.
Hey... at least I was the first person to make it 10,000 comments. That's something, right?

Add GW2 to the list... while you buy the self-makeover kit with gems you can buy gems using gold so therefore you can change your hairstyle using gold. No talking to an NPC but at least you can change your hair using gold (technically).
Of course it was to be expected that it will be a crown store thing - it was effort do create these systems and this does not come for free.

It should have been an actual in-game shop, but I guess that ship has sailed. What happened to the immersive game we used to have?

The B2P conversion.
Any questions?

Even after the B2p conversion it was relatively immersive. It's the last couple of updates that virtually ruin anything immersive (block icon, intrusive health bars, display of @names and now this...).

ESO plus may be canceled depending on how they handle this.
So you'd cancel your subscription and lose the ability to freely dye costumes any color you have unlocked?

Paul Sage was the one who said Barber Shop was taking so long because they wanted to "do it right" and make it part of the roleplaying experience. I think that notion left well before he did...when the game went B2P.

* Secondly, you can go to a 'mad' plastic surgeon in New York. There you lie on an operating table and can get things like your gender/skin-type, facial details, etc etc changed. There are even a couple of missions associated with the surgeon you can begin whilst in there.
In both places, whilst you're getting the changes the NPCs talk to you, or to themselves about you, It's great. Both are seamlessly integrated into the game. And in both places you can use either game-shop currency, or in-game gold.
Anyways, it is what it is. It's not the end of the world or anything, just... well we've said it all already.
