No barber shop confirmed!

There is no barber shop in game. You get your haircut through the crown store preview window. You don't go and talk to an npc and they cut your hair. You just open up the crown store and customize your character.

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

So basic appearance change is only crown store as well? I don't need any fancy stuff, just messed up the proportions on my character. :(

Eh. would be nice for immersion purposes but at the end of the day, if there time is better spent on fixing bugs, than I can live with it. Not a big deal.

Sure Runescape had one that cost gold too. 3k to be precise, at least in Classic days.

Yes, this is how I feel about many things after this ESO Live.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Not any changes. Hair styles, beards and some accessories can be equipped from collections tab.

@Abeille I'm a bit unclear on this too (rewatching it again now). I thought I heard them say you buy the beards etc. in the crown store too... so even though you can change it in game (collections) it's still only crown store. I could be wrong but that's just what I understood. So in my head, you wouldn't have to pay crowns to use the new beards/markings etc. but you would need to spend crowns to unlock them to begin with.

Was really hoping to see new hair colors in the CC. Quen's hair looks darker than what you are able to do with Altmer in the CC. Guess we will see what it is really like on the PTS.

yes, that is how I understand it too what they said. On the bright side, you do not need a character change token anytime you just want a different hairstyle, given that you have hairstyles in your collection.

Of course it was to be expected that it will be a crown store thing - it was effort do create these systems and this does not come for free. But we have at least a new "free" perk with ESO+ coming up, costume dying with all those colors we have and no extra cost and as often as we want. Non-members are restricted to consumable items for it and those come with color presets. I am just happy, that I subscribed the moment I heard about the crafting bag and that there will be other perks in future - ESO+ makes more and more sense to have.

I would have liked that changing characters appearance has been for free for ESO Plus members just like it is for dyeing costumes from the dyeing station in game. When you just want to change your hair color for example, it's a bit lame to pay a token full price just for one little change or adjustment.

Let's wait next week to see how much crowns this will cost. x)

I would pay to change my hair color with a huge smile on my face if the color selection wasn't unfairly limited by race.

We might have some tokens with the collectors bundle, as an ESO Plus member I don't need to buy the DLC's but I am still buying every DLC's in its collector edition. Not very interested in costumes, pets or mounts anyway.
