It was fantastic that zos gave us a cheap respec option - I hope they do it for every DLC. For a limited time only.
My opinion is, respecs are more of a gold sink for the most committed players, in that it costs more if you have more skill points. Hardcore gamers have so much more gold than casual players, but they also have an enthusiasm to try out lot's of new things, so expensive respecs tend to affect the hardcore players the most without significantly disadvantaging them.
I believe the game should do more to keep a level playing field between the hardcore and the casual gamers, and this is one of the subtle mechanisms doing it.

It's a decent way of providing respecs when things are changed by updates, but that's all. To ask for it all the time is just wanting another step towards the ultimate aim of having a "Game Conquered" button on the character creation screen.

What's similar between an "I win" button and not spending 5000 gold every time you ant to try à new build/spec ?
Do you have an actual point ?
WoW has a hassle free respec that doesn't cost much and the game is way harder than ESO lol...
