I have to asked played Swtor for a very long time.as a serious player and as a casual role player what put this game over Swtor in your opinion?I personally feel Swtor quest were more entertaining then ESO.I still remember the initial quest after becoming a apprentice to Lord Zash as a Sith Inquisitor you had to defame and take over this fellow Sith lord Cult.It was amazingly written on made you feel like a true Sith.ESO has my vote, though it was close with SWTOR and TSW.
As a casual quester and RPer, ESO is pretty good compared to most of the competion.

EVE is a totally different genre anyway - it's a space game, sandbox and not theme park, mainly player-driven content with a lot of freedom what you can do and just a rudimentary tutorial - you are free, but you have to figure out your destiny by yourself. There is no hand-holding like in ESO - you are thrown into the universe and have to find your own path in it. About 50% of those trying it, give up after 2 hours, because they cannot manage to have that much freedom.

Also after about six iterations the NPE is still horrible and doesn't help you grasp anything. Most of the people I have taken to the game only stuck around because I was there to explain things for their first month, without that guide (be it a friend or a good player corp) the NPE still is too awkward to grasp.

Someone said it's likely a bot voting multiple times via multiple IPs and that could very well be it. Far as I'm concerned Runescape ended at Runescape 2 and even that was bleh. Jagex just kept piling on the useless crap more and more... Runescape 3 is their pitiful attempt at a 3D MMO and it's no longer Runescape as a result so yeah 12k votes is definitely bogus.

Copying my response from the same thread on Reddit.
Considering Zenimax is part of the package with ESO, the game doesn't deserve to win.
It's called best MMO poll, not best company poll.
Yes, because the company developing the game doesn't affect at all the player's experience. Sigh...
Then judge the experience. Not the company.
"i do not like this game because the experience is bad" is okay
"i do not like this game because it was made by company X" is not okay

They're not. It's an award for the game, not the devs.
You don't give a painting an award when it wins, you give the award to the artist...
(Where was that guy's head just now?) haha.
Wrong. At best the painting itself is the artist's award when the painting gets the award. You don't see people admiring the artist when the painting is prized, you see them admiring the painting.
Name one of Van Gough or Picasso's paintings..without using Google.
I win. You admire the painting but award the artist. Same with game awards.
If you wish to proclaim victory on that statement so quickly how about YOU name one? And when you do who is to say you didn't use Google?
I win.
Haha I can't name one either because it's the artist that is remembered. Which proves my debate. You aren't the brightest are you?! Hahahaha. Wow.
Anyway, enough semantics... No more awards for ZoS until they fix performance. End of.
No, it does not. Quite the opposite actually. We play ESO and know about ESO. We do not come here to discuss art as art fans. It is expected neither of us can name one because neither of us cares enough to know such things. Seems you're the one that's not so bright huh? Don't play the analogy out if you can't see it through.

They continue to demonstrate they are out of touch with the game, most notably the recent comment that ESO does not have hard core gamers.
