I wonder if ZOS will notice the trend of how CCP Games gets votes from people who are not actually playing their game because they do such a good job with the game as developers.

Best MMO? Exploits, Bots, Cheats, Lags and a almost non existent customer suport....
I vote EVE, no doubt.

What makes you think that we don't play EVE as well?- From where comes the notion, that you can just play one or the other?
EVE has another principle of how skill is gained - it is time-based, you don't have to grind in EVE. Me for example, I have items and ships in production which need attention this afternoon again, but not before. When it will be ready, I will login, set up the new production, get the products to the trade hub, buy a bunch of new resources and arrange the transport to where I need them. But before it will be afternoon, I can do something else.

It is really not hard to achieve that, you only need a bot running the voting for you, clearing the IP with every new vote.

Considering Zenimax is part of the package with ESO, the game doesn't deserve to win.

It's called best MMO poll, not best company poll.

But the company is what can make it a best MMO or a bad one

Right. But you need to judge the MMO on the qualities of the MMO (or lack of thereof), not the qualities of the company. Doing otherwise is missing the point of the poll.

Let my EVE Sub lapse for only the second time in seven years just after fanfest this year. The game is still fantastic but I wasn't really doing anything on it and only paying to train skills which I really didn't need. Decided I would head over to ESO fully and stop the half-in half-out that you dance around when you play two MMO games.
I too kind of regret it now with everything that's been happening the last couple of months in ESO. I really want this to be a great game but I can't get over the strange direction and lack of security the game has.I wonder if ZOS will notice the trend of how CCP Games gets votes from people who are not actually playing their game because they do such a good job with the game as developers.

Sure some people play both, I did for the last two years. However there are many I know like myself who vote for EVE Online every year in these kinds of things but have since moved in. I guess it's an EVE culture thing that once you've been a player in some way you're always a player.

Yes, because the company developing the game doesn't affect at all the player's experience. Sigh...

could be, they return sooner or later anyway - because EVE will still be around, when the others will be gone.
Uhh, right after fanfest, so you missed out on the new citadels which are now popping up all over the place in the universe, with player-driven station services and so many ways to play EVE in new ways. Just on wednesday after fanfest they released that expansion.

Then judge the experience. Not the company.
"i do not like this game because the experience is bad" is okay
"i do not like this game because it was made by company X" is not okay

/facepalm... the company has a huge affect on the quality of the game. Currently the experience is: lag, bugs, crashing, exploits, and hackers... all things this company has no idea what to do with.

But can you praise the devs of the other games and say they do their jobs perfectly? If not then you can see Sharee's point.
