The easiest way to 1vX is to use a tool that rhymes with "eat chengine". Apparently you'll get permanently banned and then unbanned a few days later. You can't talk about it either, because ZOS is humiliated about it and extra-sensitive about how terribly they responded to the whole situation.

The next way is to use broken builds with secret bugged abilities, like putting one point into the Stam sorc pulverize passive instead of two. Do that and it procs on every kill instead of 5% (one in twenty). Then when your secret is accidentally revealed on the forums, you delete your posts and hide it. Because you don't want anyone to know your secret broken build. It's better to run around with a ridiculously overpowered move and have everyone worship you on the Internet...

Yes you too can be an 'elite' streamer, and be adored by many as 'great' in the ego stroking "who is the best on PC/NA" threads...

*** those losers. They aren't all that great, not when everyone learns their secret. If only the whole NFL started using deflated footballs...

(Will probably get warned or banned for this. Don't care anymore. No more faith in people anymore being fair or sporting in a simple video game.)

    Yeeee dawgie you salty af

    Salty but right.

It's not all streamers/1vXers but fair play is a foreign concept to some of them.

Not as many as people like to think. The witch hunt is strong lately.

At launch PvP was plagued by beta testers who exploited the *** out of some things they conveniently didn't notice in their testing.

I wasn't referring to CE but the idea that you don't use things like double mundus or overload bar bug because it falls outside the boundaries of the game as intended by ZOS.

Oh I was talking about outright hacking. In game exploits like the mundus bug and axe bleed and the recent Implosion bug are different. Way too many people use those to get ahead... :( They make much less of a difference in fights than hacking, though, and are not disallowed by ZOS. They need to be fixed when they surface.

Here's a clue. If 4 players pound on one guy, and his health hardly moves, then you can bet he is cheating or exploiting.

This isn't even a little bit true.

Plenty of players, more than 4 even, can "pound on one guy" and the guy can live if they're garbage or he's a tank. Some dks running around with 30k+ health and some Templars running around with 60k+ health and stam heals are so strong this patch. It's not uncommon at all to see a 1v4.

Even for me 4-6players where trying to kill me but my health did move but also I was able to get health back for few min till I dyed.
The trick was using these rotations.
healing ward+barrier+block+ health potion(removes stun)+honor of the dead(templar skill)+ channel focus (templar skill).

Disadvantage: diff to perform these rotation at a limited time.

For me the clue is a stamina build at ~30% health using vigor and getting his health topped off in a single tick.

Also, dodge rolling 5+ times in a row (before the debuff has a chance to fade) without any apparent ill effect on his fighting rotations/ resource levels. With a 60% stamina costs poison on him, just to rub it in.

Good players will have multiple heals going at the same time. If they get to ~30% health, you're likely seeing them pop Rally and perhaps a potion as their Vigor ticks.

And I can roll like 7 times on my stam before I start to feel strain on my resources. Some people can roll more than that. It's called managing resources well...

You people need to stop placing arbitrary limitations on what you think players are capable of. You're witch hunting just because you see things that you don't understand.

Just report suspicious behavior to ZOS, maybe put a video with names blacked out on the forums for the rest of us to see, and go back to playing the game.

I know what casting a rally looks like. He does not cast rally, he casts vigor. And the health bar shoots to full instantly, not only after the ability use CD triggered by vigor expired to allow him to cast something else.

Potion would be a nice explanation if the guy wasn't repeating the trick every 5-10 seconds with several people beating on him.

Seen it, and I've seen it from a certain DC stamina nightblade.

It's basically vigor->health to full. No beam from malubeth, no rally. It's like the vigor tick is 15k.

The amount of bads commenting in this thread, just hilarious.

Some dude linked me his gear yesterday after getting wrecked, dude was running around with blue lower level weapons and mismatched sets. If you don't know how to build, you won't harm someone who does. If you surround yourself with like minded players, you will get 1vX'd without your target breaking a sweat.

I am not going to get into the realm of finger pointing about cheating. However, 1vX only works when fighting people who don't really know what they are doing with sub-optimal builds. Thats really what it boils down to.

    Yup,

any average pvper can take on 3 times his numbers if playing against folks with poor builds and no poison use....i remember @Minno and I wiping 20+ EP outside Bruma one night, and being accused of cheating...they melted like ice cubs to a fire...build quality and playing to your strengths makes a huge difference in this game.

    1. The poisons are purgable by certain classes. This can nullify them.
    2. The 5+ dodgeroll can easily be accounted for by a heavy dodge build, perhaps running skirmisher, stacking some into tumbling.
    3. The stamina build at 30% doesn't get healed to full by a single vigor tick, you're misunderstanding what you're seeing. It's more likely that their rally was below 10-15 seconds left and they got a fat burst heal from that. Vigor is a heal over time and doesn't have the capabilities to heal someone for 70% health in one tick.
    4. Heavy attacks are also very good for restoring resources this patch. If you're being heavy attacked, that person is sustaining off of you while also doing great damage.
    5. Not a single one of the things you listed are a sure-in clue that your opponent is cheating. This is what's so toxic about the community at this time. Everyone's screaming speed hax and heal hax and damage hax and no one is taking any kind of time or patience to evaluate whether what they are seeing is actually possible within the context of the game.

Why bother with facts and trying to learn mechanics when you can just write it off as hacks? One of those involves work the other involves lying to yourself to feel like you're a good player, it is obvious which choice this community makes

I think it's easy for majority of the competent players to forget the roots. An experienced player will look at a build much differently from someone who isn't used to be highly competitive in gaming. Inexperienced players won't value the understanding of game mechanics the same way you might.

Maybe they don't understand the value of golding out your weapons and min /maxing, maybe they like the way a set looks and ignore the fact it's outdated and obsolete. For as simple as ESO is, there are a lot of unknown variables. A casual player won't think about passively increasing defense and healing, via stacking mechanics. Maybe they want to use magical skill morphs, because they quite fancy the way it looks or sounds, but doesn't compliment their build. I had someone once who was over CP cap running magicka morphs and skills, with stamina gear. It blew my mind to see that, but it's actually quite prevalent in ESO..

People get 1vX'd more because of their lack of understanding in game mechanics, less because of skill.

Well you DO align yourself with known cheaters.

Nobody in my guild is a cheater, and I don't play with anyone else. So no, you're wrong, and you can apologise when you're ready.

I said ALIGN. And one is running her mouth right now in this thread. Imagine that.

Continue to call me a cheater all you want, it doesn't phase me. You've probably noted this distinct lack of care. However, you have continually and tirelessly tried to get my attention about this over and over on nearly every thread on this forum.

Generally I just ignore you. Most days there's no need to validate your ridiculous slander with a response. But today I'll bite because you're trying to spew hate on my also innocent friend who did nothing wrong.

I know I'm not a cheater. The people I play with and against know I'm not, and that's enough for me. And if you can prove me otherwise, then upload it and showcase it. If you hate me SO much and you're SO certain I'm a cheater, why haven't you done it by now? If you're so certain, then show me and the community some proof. "Put up or shut up," if you will.

In the meantime, keep living your sad life and keep deflecting your inadequacies onto others.

Jules I think everyone who knows you knows you aren't a cheater, this argument is going to go no where so just ignore it. Think of that time we were in a TS channel with her and Sandy, arguing is pointless.
