You've seen the "tons" of these threads and the negative sentiment towards this idea yet felt another daily thread would change the minds of the masses?
YAY! It's been so long!

I def prefer not to have it. Right now it's like the early days of eBay, deals to be had if you put the effort in. Effort / reward. One big shop will remove that. It also makes no sense lore wise really. Well unless you mean a real live auction house with people bidding haha

A few people on the forums hardly counts as the 'masses'. The only people against an auction house are the people in big trade guilds. They do no want to lose all that gold. A global trading post would take the money out of the hands of these huge trading 'guilds' and into the average player... of course they don't want that. They can't corner the market anymore.

Are you on skooma? I mean if you really think that would happen...you are in mirror land.
Big guilds would rotate peeps, buying up any "under priced" (read: reasonably priced) stuff, and then repost it for as much as they can.
Individuals would be forced to compete with such moster guilds .... and they would lose. The average farmer (read: rich player) would be able to buy anything, as long as they pay through the nose for it.
The non-compulsive player would basically not be able to afford much.

I think I might start a new one tomorrow.
My friends and family are casual players, and never use the guild traders. They say the search sucks and they never find what they want. They play as if it does not exist, vendoring all loot.
I myself have used it in the past, but rarely.

@Gidorick
I was waiting for the auction horse.
It is time to implement it already hah

Never understood this mentality. My guild currently requires 5K in sales per week. If you fall below, you just buy raffle tickets to cover your bad week. Even if I had to pay 5K out of pocket outside of sales I would do it. With my current trade guild I typically sell 20k worth of stuff a week (probably 100 gold if vendored) and I don't play more than an hour a day on average.
It is like this: would you rather run an everyday yard sale and make maybe $100 a week, or open a store, pay $200 rent, and make $1,000 a week?

I feel like the problem stems from these players being anti-social or shy/nervous to meet/talk with players.
I have heard many players stat that they don't want to play with others or join a guild. (Why are they playing an MMO?)

I have not talked to one single person in either trading guild in weeks. In fact, I don't even have my chat window open 90% of the time. They do dungeons and trials outside of the trading thing as well, but none of that is a requirement at all to be in the guild and selling stuff.
