i seen several streamers cry yet they seem to not have a problem killing people. even decent players roll stam sorc and do fine.
I honestly gotta agree, after playing stam for a while, all the access to those stam weapon moves feels awesome!
Viable choices... omg... it's so refreshing.
After playing magicka sorc for so long where it even was, "Well proxy isn't really ideal, at db patch deals 1.5k dps, there really still isn't another option.... so I'll either keep it though it's really at bare minimum dps.... or drop one of 6 active abilities that I have on 3 bars.....(omfg think about that...) and add ANOTHER TOGGLE"
I hate destruction bar and it's abilities, so VERY straightforward, it does one thing, pretty well, and that's it. No imaginative way to find synergy outside the weapon to build off of. Just point and shoot.
While with stamina you get a plethora of choices and combinations. Such as bow increased posion damage ability (name eludes me atm) dot + dw rendering slashes (and morphs) dot + flurry (and morphs). The synergy in that is fantastic as an example.
Stam sorcs even have access to a heal, dark exchange may not be the best spot heal, but it is one, combine that with the already viable HoTs and you do have access to a lot of survivability.
It's really the magicka sorcs that got the staff (lmao, i thought it was punny)

Have you ever played one? They had nothing except mobility going for them until this patch. Overload is 25% less damage on a magica sorc. Good magica sorcs never used overload in pvp. So why would a stam sorc?
They're actually competitive this patch.0 -

My issue is that even though they do some things well, other classes, specifically Stam DK, do it better. If you do a DoT DPS build, Stam DK will beat it. If you want to maneuver around PVP, Stam NB's have so many useful class abilities that make them superior.
There best quality is raw stats, and they most likely do the best AoE DPS for a stam build with Steel Tornado and Hurricane. But typically AoE is only valuable in trash fights. Id rather do lower DPS in trash fights, and do better single target DPS on boss fights than vice versa.
TL:DR They aren't unplayable, and this patch did give them a buff. But if you want to do PVE stam DPS, stam DK is better. If you want to do PVP, every other class is better.
This is your opinion. I love my stam sorc for 12-16 person pvp groups. Has the best of both worlds. Stam damage and the mighty negate. Pve I agree though, they suck.Veldrn-AD Magica Sorc

Disagree. My stam sorc is beast and pulls very strong trials numbers. Is he a stam DK? Of course not, neither is every other class. Can he whoop ass? Yuuuup.
You can pull really good numbers on a Stam Sorc. I have semi-retired my Magicka Temp in favor of a Stam Sorc. That said, Stam DKs have a higher as single target dps potential. Though I think Stam Sorcs are better at vMSA.V16 Uriel Stormblessed EP Magicka Templar(main)
