The fight is relatively easy...and I did it on my other toons, but now it is bugged, and I just got stunned for ever when entering the fight. I do not die or lose health, I am just stunned for ever without the ability to do anything, but I also do not die, just stunned....so it is buged

This is happening to me now as well. Has anyone been able to fix it or at least hear back from ZoS about their tickets.

I was able to fix so here is how --- what others mentioned basically....


BUT I had to leave through entering cyrodill campaign while trapped by malog bal, then I used the wayshrine back to the harborage, then through the portal and ran ALL THE WAY back to fight him through all the maps. When I got there, because he was still stuck, it tried to trap me as I ran toward him but it was like I busted out of it. Then I was free to move on that map.

I went toward him but on the left side and almost right in front of him on the left side of the map I got trapped as I was supposed to but the effects were screwy. I was able to fight him and finish the game and my character when I logged off last night was in post game after meeting with cadwell.

NOTE - this took SEVERAL TRIES TO WORK. IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK, I HAD TO:

1 - LEAVE VIA CAMPAIGN THEN RETURN BACK TO HARBORAGE AND ENTER THE PORTAL, THEN RUN THE WHOLE MAP

2 - THE QUEST CANNOT RESTART (meaning I had to run through and kill stuff again, and I have my companions again.... mandatory for this to work is that this cannot happen because I had the restart version twice when it restarted the quest you can NOT 'glitch' through the trap zone where you get locked and that is the whole key to this working - if the quest resets as if you are just starting it you will have to run it again, but will get trapped again most likely if you have already encountered this bug. However, once that happens just exit via campaign and rerun through it again asap because I suspect there is a timer that triggers the resetting of this quest and you do NOT want it to reset). So if you have this bug/glitch, exit to the campaign asap. There may be a timer that makes it reset if you leave the area before completing the molag boss fight.

3 - AFTER YOU GLITCH THROUGH THE TRAP ZONE AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS YOU MUST GO TO THE AREA ON THE LEFT RIGHT IN FRONT OF MOLAG BAL. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE ON THE MAP THAT SEEMS TO TRIGGER HIM TO TRAP YOU AFTER THIS GLITCH HAS OCCURRED. Wander around in that area. That was where it triggered for me. But it did not trigger the very first time I did this. So even this is not a 100% sure thing but it is you best shot. It was my third try in that area of the map that got it to trigger the battle. I was walking around in front of him on the left side right in front of the wall.

I had a weird experience with this quest when I ran my Nightblade through.
Lyris Titanborn joined me for the fight and tanked Molag....Can't remember that happening on the earlier times i did the quest.

I know this is an old thread, almost 3 years old, but I encountered a bug in that quest. I can hit x, shoot the beam, his hand shrivels up..thus releasing me..and I am falling to my death.
When I walk down the stairs and back up he reappears but I die every time from the fall. Blocking not possible.

Any idea?
