Overload Morph Question

I'm looking at the Energy Overload morph of Overload, and the tooltip says "...has less bonus damage". However when looking at the attacks damage, I can't seem to figure out what bonus damage it is referring to. Both morphs of the skill seem to deal "3% additional damage". Does anyone know what damage is lost with this morph, if any?
