The solution I think would be another way. Have a certain set of mats per racial zone and your traits are based off the mats you use. (Hammerel has only high iron, and making armor with high iron gives you the defending trait) it doesn't exactly have to be like this. But in one tamriel all the mats need to be equal but with different benefits somehow.
This will prevent exorbitant prices and everyone farming just one area of the game.
I suspect a reduction of CP160 to CP150+ amounts will happen when they add new tier(s)... then the CP180/new top tier will have the bucketload requirements instead. I'm guessing they will also simplify all the different materials needed from CP10 to CP140, no need for that many now.
How about no. It's fine like it is. Leave it be.
Your comment about crafted gear not being good for end game... Rofl as usuall you couldn't be more wrong.
If you don't like the cost of CP160 gear, just make CP150, it's not a huge difference in anything but highest-difficulty play. Keeping 160 expensive and elite makes it something you have to work for.
If the new tiers are CP170-180, having 170 using a smaller amount of the new mats (probably 12 each?), 180 use a huge amount (120 each?), is consistent with 150-160 and makes the highest-tier gear appropriately difficult.
Maybe add the option keep it how it is because it's fine?
Exactly. Biased poll is biased, and therefore of no use to anyone.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

It's fine as it is.... but,. that said, I wouldn't be averse to finding CP150 mats alongside CP160 in Wrothgar for example. Because right now, I'm swimming in Rubedite, but always looking for voidstone for my writs...
No, everyone should have to experience what it's like to have to grind for the mats like lots of people had to before.
Fed up of people pleading for easy mode in just about every thread.
With mat prices dropping its not as much of a burden to craft max level gear. Yet the amount of materials needed is still ridiculously high. With meta that changes every few months recrafting gear every few months is a burden. Even 50-75 mats per item would be okay, but 110-150 per item is quite insane. Especially since you only get 1 mat per item decon.
The last datamining I read, it looked like we will be getting a new tier eventually, so do they double down the 10x mat idea and make the new tier require 1500 of each mat, or do they do something a bit more sensible, like either 10 more, or reduce the Ruby tier to be more in line with Void, and increase the new one like Ruby is now?
I do think the current mat requirement is fine, but if they reduced it a bit (not completely, though) once a new tier is released, that seems reasonable.
They're perfectly fine the way they are. Lets try and avoid making biased polls from now on.

Nahhh... like he said, its fine the way it is..

If they decrease it once the max champion gear level craftable jumps to 170 then I don't see an issue. Also am I wrong in thinking that we are getting more 160 mats from hirelings and decon? It certainly seems it.
But my opinion is to wait and see what happens once they have implemented the One Tamriel update. The only real issue I see is you should no longer need anything more than one materiel for champion level; daedric perhaps?
Anything below ruby, and above ebony, is effectively pointless once you reach champion level 160.
