I am wondering if there is a way to mute people in guild chat without having to block their PSN?

Well the last time the loudmouth started his family argument, I asked in a firm voice for him to mute his mic, and he says "I aint gon mute ***. You will have to mute me!

You can on Xbox, though! It's through Xbox, not ESO, and it will mute them for you. It's an option under their profile, near the block option. I don't remember the exact menu options to get there, but I can give you a step by step after work if you like?
NOTE: It doesn't show their name as talking, either, so you won't have any indication that they are trying to talk.Why be normal when you can be better?

Tell the guild leader or boot him.
It's widely known in our guild that you have to mute mic if you're not talking in group.

Yeah, I would rather be able to mute them with a press of the button without having to message a Guildmaster or block them from PSN.
