Character name reutilization

If I delete a character which took me a while to find a nice name, will I be able to use the same name again, for another character?

If yes, would it be instantly available or there's cooldown?

I am the very model of a scientist Salarian, I've studied species Turian, Asari, and Batarian.
I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).
My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian, I am the very model of a Scientist Salarian.

You can use it straight away as long as no one else had taken it. I have deleted characters and immediately recreated them with the same name.
