I wonder how many of our current bombard spammers were fighting for talons to be nerfed at release. I really hope these range roots dont get yalons nerfed. Talons is risk reward due to its pbaoe, bombard is just reward due to its safe distance.
The real question is whether you've grown tired of permaroot inside unbreakable negates?
No? What about permaroots inside invisible unbreakable negates? xD

If I cannot root over and over again and dots or inner light how am I supposed to drain the stamina of the NB that just keep disappearing and teleport striking me? Not to mention that any other attack I throw at a NB is dodged at a rate of probably 40 to 50%.
If this class was immune to my roots for any time period I might as well just run when I see them.

If the strategy is to spam bombard in a 1v1, this is already a lost cause. If I cannot root over and over again and dots or inner light how am I supposed to drain the stamina of the NB that just keep disappearing and teleport striking me? You could try killing them.

I dont usually get flustered when leading, but the other night we fought a group and dropped two negates of our own (one as a counter). We actually had sound for once in pvp and I heard like 8 negate animation sounds in 2-3 seconds. I think my calls went something along the lines of "counter negate on me! Bad negate again, another - blarb blurb bleb, eff, what the eff, so many negates, waiiii"
Part of the other problem with negates is that the silence is applied repeatedly as a debuff so it has ~ a 1 sec duration even after you've completely left the negate. The combo of negate and bombard spam is too much and needs adjusting. At times it's more effective than prox bombs, which says a lot.
To be honest, roots are mostly a problem when you're outnumbered. In 1v1/1vX, I can see how multiple builds would just melt without them.
The main benefactor of a root immunity would be the magicka templar, which is already easily the strongest 1v1 class in Dark Brotherhood patch.
For those reasons I really cant get behind a root immunity of any kind.
What I'd like to see though is the ability to turn while rooted. Being unable to turn around & face your enemies is ridiculous and feels clunky.
And BGs/Arenas - as the main problem is getting zerged.
