Don't forget the number of crafting items they have introduced in the 6-8 months they've been working on the bags.
Personally I think non subbers should fight back by turning off auto loot and only taking the items they need from nodes. Leaving us to pick up all the worthless crap since we can carry an almost infinite amount.

You pretty much created an inventory nightmare for those who do not sub for the crafting bag.
Very clever. Very clever indeed.

Have you considered exercising the willpower to just not grab every node you see?

Or getting a sub?

8 characters with gold purchased bag upgrades (up to 140 each character) = 1,120
4 additional crown character spots (brand new with this patch) with gold purchased bag upgrades (up to 140 each character) = 560
Mount bag space upgrades (12 mounts x 60) = 720
Personal Bank space (with upgrades) = 240
Total: 2,640
Personal Guild Banks = 500 each (up to 2,500); limit of 5 guild bank slots
If a player doesn't have any personal guild banks, we're still approaching 2,700 inventory slots ... not including the crafting bags or stacked inventory.
So, the first question for any player feeling constricted on inventory ... have you hit 2,640 character and bank slots yet?
Just sub. You get the newest DLC for free. You get 1500 crowns a month. And you receive crafting bags. The 1500 crowns a month should make you want to subscribe (being as that equates to a free character slot every month just about, or $15). But then crafting bags too, AND free access to ALL DLC content? Bruh. Come on now. Lol.
Oh, and please don't get me wrong. I'm not some guy who is paid by ZOS to encourage people to invest their money into ZOS, but it just appears that with the release of DB — the pros dramatically outweigh the cons.

Notice that it was just an observation. But some people just gotta be a ***. It's in their nature.

Some of us are against exploiting the game to manage our inventory.

One character @Smileybones ? No mules? No personal guild bank? You never felt the inventory size was too small?

No @Gidorick , I kept only one stack of each crafting mat and even some trophies in bank and I had some room left. With a maxxed bank that is. Also since crafted gear is a valid gearing option, I deconstructed all the gear I could happen to loot and sold in vendor or traders all the excess mats.
Inventory space is manageable in ESO even without mules, some games are way worse than this. Of course I gladly welcomed the crafting bags since they allow me to keep more than one stack of mats.

I'm sorry but theres no way that you can store all materials, of all levels, for all crafts. I'm a keen crafter too and have all bag and bank space unlocked and there is definitely not enough space to store all materials on one toon.

Did you pay money for a maxed bank?
I just have a hard time believing you never felt any frustration with the inventory. I'm sure you learned to manage, but to never feel like inventory spacenter was a problem dusing the journey to max out inventory/bank... it just seems a little too rosy of a disposition @Smileybones .

I paid gold for my maxed bank, @Gidorick . Most MMOs by design allow you to hoard more than you can hold, you just need to choose what you keep and what not, simple as that.
Being frustrated by this just mean you're new to this kind of games or can't refrain to hoard shinies or can't plan trips to the city to unload. Actually I was more frustrated by the slow improving of bank space when levelling since your gold earning power can't keep up with the costs of upgrades but if you are patient you will save enough to max your bank and bag.
