A few dungeons, barber shop & housing for the next six months and that's all?

Is this really all they're going to release as far as DLC goes for the next 2 quarters?

I'm sure they're working on other unannounced stuff too. I've never seen housing in an mmo but I'd (imagine) it'd be a pretty big project.

Hasnt most of the stuff that is being released currently like DB and TG been in development since before PC launch. That is what i have read, so if thats true and now brand new content has to be made then i expect the updates and content to take a nose dive. I remember many PC players thinking either TG or DB would be released right after Craglorn just a few months after PC release. They have been holding a lot of this content for a couple years now and slowly pushing it out. So this maybe why they are talking about pushing small updates now cause they dont have as much content sitting in their library ready to go.

But think of the time it takes to make a DLC. They have to hire the voice actors, animate the characters to lip sync, all that scripting, modelling and textures. It just seems like it would take a long time and I wouldn't expect it to be done in just a short few months.

They still have Murkmire and The Clockwork City that have been confirmed. Also data miners from TG have stumbled across way shrines named after locations in Vvardenfel. I'm sure they have a cycle of teams working on at least 3-4 DLC at a time.

Will they all be as big as Wrothgar? Or will we have new dungeons every quarter? Probably not. But I have not seen many games churn out decent to good dlc this fast. No complaints here. And Tamriel One looks amazing. I can't wait.

The first announced TG and DB along with a whole host of other stuff back in 2014, giving previews at QuakeCon of that year. Generously assuming that most of the work had yet to be done, that still gave them a full 18 months and change in which to finish and continue filling the pipeline with more content.

Keeping the pipeline full is key, while one team is finishing up on one project, several other teams should always be at different stages of development with the next projects to follow. Without this the content simply dries up.

Maybe, just maybe, the reason there will be so few DLCs of real substance coming in the next 6-8 months is because they are doing a lot more work for this One Tamriel thing than anticipated.

The fear is that the One Tamriel will just be level scaling and leave it at that, with very little work done to make sure the story flows with continuity. Perhaps if they are slowing down on additional DLCs it is because they are really taking their time to overhaul the 1-50 questing experience with this One Tamriel, and that they will revamp quests and the way NPCs relate to you based on where you've been and what you've done.

That is my hope at least... and if my hope turns out to be correct then I won't have a single complaint about the lack of new content for half a year or more.

Do you really think TG and now DB are decently good?... They both feel extremely rushed and complete clones of each other...not to mention each brought an ENTIRE revamp of combat systems instead of just adjusting broken things...which in turn leads to even MORE broken things...but hey, a wolf mount!

They should of had this barber shop system in place a long time ago. It's honestly not hard, I imagine the hardest part is rewritting the data for the character name and making sure people dont take generic names.

It will be interesting to see when they fully announce the next DLC what all it comes with.

Personally, if it's just some new dungeons and a barber shop, it won't have anything that I will be interested in. Dungeons are fun don't get me wrong, but you can only run them so many times until they are stale.

I think it depends on what "Argonian Dungeon Pack" means. If that is Murkmire, it was originally conceived as similar to Craglorn. The questing/grouping/phasing in Craglorn made it a real pain in the neck. The quest rewards were garbage. None of the gear sets dropped at max level (only the 12-man Trials in Craglorn dropped max level gear). It did not scale and became trivially easy as max VR was raised and people started gaining more and more CP.

But the zone itself was actually fantastic. The 4-man delves in Craglorn are some of the best in the game. Cool design, delve bosses with actual mechanics. If they made another zone like Craglorn, but fixed the underlying issues mentioned above, it could be a lot of fun.

If it needs to take a time for development of next DLCs, it better to let them have it. Coz Vvardenfell should blow up our minds. <3

Agreed. Craglorn is absolutely gorgeous, but the forced grouping and not keeping max level made it an absolute wreck. This will be much better tamriel one !

Don't assume that's all we are getting.

Nobody really knows what we are getting Q3 and Q4, because they haven't announced anything yet. They've just released Dark Brotherhood on all platforms.

Some announcements at E3 would have been nice but

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We will see what's next soon™ I guess.

Problem I have is ZOS' constant 'changing their mind or direction' in quick succession. Just a short time ago we were told that they planned to continue 'quarterly DLC releases' and now we're being told smaller "episodes" will be coming instead to appease casual players. What all of this means to me is that they're focusing on ONE TAMRIEL and not larger DLCs, which is a BIG kick to veteran and long-term players. For them to not even bother announcing any future content other than ONE TAMRIEL speaks volumes about what ZOS has in store... a whole lot of nothing other than throwing a bone here and there... Barbershop, dungeon pack, etc. If anyone is familiar with DCUO and their "episodes" then you know what more than likely you can begin to expect here. :(

Check out Final Fantasy XIV videos on YouTube. You can probably get an idea of player housing from there :)

Also - yes it's probably a huge project. I'm not a developer but it looks like a lot of work went into each individual item for housing, etc..
