how do you guys do it?

Enough sleep to stay relaxed , clear sighted and a lot of practice to gain more and more experience.
    Thats basically it.

And don't overrate any footage from others, most of it is cutted material, to make the creators look great.
Whatever you see, the question is if you can learn something out of this footage or not.
Just by watching a video with immortal cut scenes and cool music will not help you to improve skills in PvP combat.
    It's common sense.

The most important thing is to analyze your own footage to see your mistakes and work on them after watching.

Most players have something in common that is not shown in any video, the worst enemy is themselves , they in panic mode or not focussed , think stuff like "will i win or lose the fight" etc..

My advice, keep calm and focussed and have a great time in 1vX.

    Couple of things to add-

    1. Using your environment is huge, 1vx typically doesn't occur in open field. You have to use small chokes, ledges, slaughterfish water, trees, rocks, things around you.
    2. You HAVE to be able to heal while you do damage. You can't only heal and you can't only damage, you'll die every time.
    3. Focus the magicka templar first, always. Radiant will sauce you every time and those templars are healing your targets, making your life that much harder.
    4. After templars are down, focus NB's. High damage, good cc, they can mess your life up.
    5. Focus tanky DK's or max health templars last.
    6. Use your ultimates wisely, having an ult like meteor or dawnbreaker, something that can hit multiple targets is best. Running single target ults will make life harder.
    7. Don't pop a pot unless you need it. If you pop it when you don't need it, you won't have it up when you do.
    8. Damage > Regen. Figure out how much the MINIMAL regen you can run with comfortably is and run at that. Too much regen = not enough damage. The less damage you have, the longer they stay alive, the harder it is.
    9. Utilize the champion point system to your advantage. Read every passive and think, which can really benefit me? If you're a stam build, you need 120 into the lady point blank. You NEED unchained. And every time you get CC'd, use your most expensive stam skills immediately, ie: vigor, rally. This will help manage your resources because these expensive skills will be nearly free.
    10. Impen and an undaunted set make life easier. Bloodspawn is great. So is engine guardian. So is malubeth.
    11. CC your targets on cool down. Look at their feet and see whether they have spinning white circles around them. If they don't, they need to be CC'd immediately. Fear them, WB them, fossilize them, toppling charge them, whatever it may be. The better you are at CC'ing on cooldown, the faster your targets run out of stam, the faster they die.

I've 1vX'd jules many times so all of the above is true. She would know how 1vX is done, from experience ;)

Back on topic ... I've been on the good side of a 1v10 (with a well placed bat swarm, all my opponents looking the wrong way, and a ton of luck) and on the bad side of them.

Setting aside the cheating stuff on PC (I'm on XBox) it comes down to self healing, burst damage, often lots of multiple target DOTs, using your natural cover, luck, and intelligence.

There are a group of people who think that you only show skill by fighting people on equal footing. This is stupid. You should never cheat, but if you're not pushing the envelope into a build that's OMGOP than you're a bit of a fool. Use every advantage available to you within the rules and have at it.

I one shot a reigning emperor last night and I don't even have 400 CP. I do, however, have 40K Magic and a dark flare that will ruin your day.

The are really only 2 things needed to 1vx.

    Something to LOS.

    Ability to heal self.

Unfortunately most of the "I 1vx and rock" posters in thread add the old "I dodge everything" to the mix. It makes 1vxing much much easier it seems, particularly if you aren't very good.

What I've seen is you need a class with a burst combo that can animation cancel (dk is wb take flight execute NB ambush fear incap. strike SA execute) mobility like shuffle to remove snares and roots. Bow helps alot to move quickly after casting shuffle and dodge rolling to cover LoS. Everything else has been said already

    Most 1vX's are actually PvRock.

PvTree even better. Crazy the amount of time I get a dodge roll spammer to 10% hps and he get saved by a tree. I still have to learn that trick myself. I always tend to get outnumbered in openfield with nowhere to go.

Some of us are 30 and working overtime hours to offset the taxes we pay for EP's unemployed division to flip the map nightly. :(

LOL I made this comment a few weeks ago and got a warning for talking about politics or some crap

Irony: The people in EP that do that actually have night jobs and get off work at around 11pm.

Pretty sure if you wanted to look at jobless map swappers the people that win it back around 10AM eastern time are your main culprits.

    Those god damned Aussies!

    What's that accent, New Jersey?
    It's Austrian.
Well, good day mate! Let's throw another shrimp on the barbi!

Only *** players used CE, becoming decent over night and expect people to believe they had a Rocky training session. Lmao

Be careful, ZOS thinks CE stands for Collectors Edition. ;)
