You can buy a character slot... so putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 7 (maths not being my strong point) I conclude that the level 50 char is in ZoS mind for the Crown Store
No.Not at all. They will never sell any type of ingame characters in the crown store.Other than the empty slots.
I believe this to be true, but I'm not sold on the Idea that they wouldn't sell CP
I mean if we look at it, why WOULDN'T they?
They sell Bag space, bank space, Mount upgrades *of all types* Poisons, exp scrolls, potions, merchant/Bank Assistants, Vamp/Werewolf Viruses, nearly all Motifs available. Where is the Line drawn and When is it too much?
They wouldnt sell CP because that, indeed, would be P2W for sure. That would give someone a huge advantage over another player if they bought as many as they could. Not all people would buy them. What would even playing the game be then?
There is a small community of PvPers who would.
Mount Upgrades are a HUGE advantage over another Player Motifs are a HUGE advantage over another player, Assistants are Definitely a Huge advantage over another player, but since they are Not PvP advantages *except in the mount department* they don't legit count right?
Really? How do I get an advantage because my horse runs faster than someone else's? Or because it carries more than someone elses?
Or, motifs? Motifs dont give you [perks, they just look cool.Assisstants are no huge advantage/.They take too much gold from you.35% is a bit much.
None of these things will make your skills better,or give you extra skills.
Why didnt you mention the XP scrolls? THOSE can give an advantage to a player over another. But,only in granting XP. And since I dont PvP I have nothing to say about what is or isnt an advantage there.
However,I fail to understand how an inventory upgrade can help you in PvP,..or assistants for that matter.
Please, enlighten me there. How are they "huge advantages"?
well Since you don't PVP I can understand why you don't think Mount upgrades can be a Big advantage, that's just the difference between a 20 minute ride and a 3-5 minute ride to the Fighting Grounds in Cyradiil granted it doesn't do much for the PVE community, as Per the the Motifs, People Buying the motifs can have access to pretty much all styles and therefore get business much more often then someone who is "grinding" for their motifs, the Master assistant is the Same Concept except they won't have to worry about Running/porting All the way back to a town to empty their Bags into the vendors/bank.
Mount Upgrade PvP advantage. * go to cyradill start from arrius or brk and Ride to Alessia etc and see how long it takes you, The team with the fastest mounts will be the team to win the Castle. have you have heard the Phrase "running simulator"? that's Cyradill if you don't have maxed Mount speed/stamina.
Motif/vendor/bank assistants Trade system Advantage, okay it costs a bit to use? well in general you're using the merchant to keeps whites/trash out of your bag permanently without the loss of coin and Useful stuff placed inside your bank as it's found without having to literally take a "destroy" or "port to town" action to loose time and money.
and sure, Experience scrolls can definitely be advantage as well.
Well, most of what you say are advantages dont seem that way to me because I was coming from the point of combat advantages. Those things like business and motifs, etc, have nothing to do with combat. So,in that way, they arent play advantages.
i can see how the mount situation would be an issue for PvP. I can also see your point about Cyrodiil and the 'running simulator".
Grinding for motifs is just someone's choice rather than buying motifs in guild stores. I have nearly all motifs learned with two of my characters, but they are just for different looking gear. Not to add any advancements to my character.I can use just the basic gear motifs, and craft gear that is very very good. Selling motifs doesnt give a player an advantage. It just gives them gold.
If someone doesnt have their skills up to par,and hasnt crafted or bought gear up to par,..it's their own fault.
Not from external advantages. You cant blame these things if someone has a more solid build for their character.
Also, the assistants are pretty useless, since we now have crafting bags which make a lot more room for whites.Actually.selling whites can gicve you as bit of gold as well.If you have a lower level alt that needs their skills worked up,use those to decon. Not just the green,or blue items.
I understand where you're Coming from, and thanks for replying. You are correct in that most of what I have described isn't "combat" advantages except in regards to the mount upgrades in general, and though I'm not ONE of them, there are a wide selection of ppl on Eso in Trade guilds that play the game to "play the market" so to speak and I only mention those in respect to them. I played SWTOR and all of these are practically Implemented there as well, the only difference is within SWTOR a Non-sub/P2W character can Buy all those lets call them Novelty additions, from their Auction house, which Alleviates some of the "P2W" argument in their favor. I'm not against any of this myself, as a matter of fact I bought the assistant to help alleviate the pain of a small sack {}. Really I just have this Problem of looking at things from Every perspective, and just tend to voice my opinions without regards to people asking for it
Blame it on meh Alliance I suppose, EP FOR LYFE
Your opinions cound, from every aspect.Sometimes we need those different points of view. They are as valid as anyone elses.Even if we might not agree a bout some of them.Still, one can learn from someone you disagree with.
For those you mention that play the market, they cant be very well set up for anything competitive,or even do much questing in PvE.Sad,really.They lose out on so much for just selling items, and ignoring the rest of the game.I'm glad we arent one of "those". XD

Huh? I just said that your opinions were sound, from every aspect and that they were as valid as anyone elses.
What did I say wrong now?
And,who is Sypher?
They changed the training trait to increasethe xp gain, which is very interesting, because before the update, leveling a new character 1-50 took me around 2 days, but now it will be even faster. (exp potion+all pieces training trait+eso + ?!)
Additionally, i doubt that they will add a lvl-50 character-template, because they dont want to look like WoW.

Ok first let me say if someone else could beat sypher isnt a valid test. Because you have no idea how good either person is The real question is could a level 30 battle leveled Sypher have a any chance against a full power Sypher? The only way i come to no, is if the full power sypher has champion points.
But if Sypher was a plain jane 50. What i assume they would be selling. Then yes a level 30 battle leveled Sypher would be able to beat himself... That sounds a little strange.
That is the only point i was trying to make. That a lower level character in blue or purple has better stats then a level 50 in gold. Just by way of comparison at level 25 in purple I had 24k health battle leveled. Everything stated magika with no food. At level 50 gold with 466 champion points i have 14k health.
The health alone would give me a real shot at beating myself(again using the same person because random people beating random people means nothing). Then i have more magika more stamina more regen. And if i knew what i was doing i could have a large portion of the skills i wanted unlocked and morphed.
And if they sold level 50s with the skills not unlocked then they would have the same problem a battle leveled character would.
Anyway it would really depend on what they sold. I dont think they are going to sell a level 50 with champion points. So at that point i would say yes a battle level character could beat a level 50 with out champion points. And if they sell a 50 with just the skill points getting to 50 and no skills unlocked a level 1 battle leveled could beat him like a drum.

XDvyndral13preub18_ESO wrote: »Seems likely. The argument could be made that is actually not p2w. Why? Because as it is now a low level character in proper Blue or purple gear scales with higher stats then a max levEl character. So the low level character is actually stronger.
That is Simply Not true, your stats may be boosted sure, but you're not getting the Passive buffs and some of the much Needed Skills from Different Skill lines needed to be successful in PVP IMO, can you kill a V16 potato if he's not a real pvper? sure, but you can't sit there and say that Battle leveling gives them an Even Footing. You are not going to see Sypher playing a underleveled Scrub in pvp because he's going to be at a disadvantage. Certainly not in a stream because he's viewers want to see wins
Huh? I just said that your opinions were sound, from every aspect and that they were as valid as anyone elses.
What did I say wrong now?
And,who is Sypher?
lol that wasn't towards you it was towards @vyndral13preub18_ESO posted after you sorry if I miss-tagged
if you read the comment just before you will understand
Could NOT agree more.Removing levels completely would be much better option than battle levelling. I bet it will confuse the hell out of new players since battle levelling messes with your stats massively. How will people learn the mechanics of the game if they have no idea how their stats (base, crit, dmg... etc) work before max level?
This is probably something we should provide feedback and thought about when they open up threads for it in the PTS builds.

Yeah.. Merrier.
There will just be more cries for nerf (if that person decided to 2-man vMoL as their first dungeon and was rekt, for example)
And more pug elitism and segregation based on experience (since a person that doesnt know how to control their character likely wont be welcomed in dungeon pugs).

Simple.
If they try to sell you core game elements, then it is too much. Core game elements are those, who affect general gameplay and stats. And even guilds. And if you are not able to gain to gain crown while playing the game.
In that case, the game is automatic Pay to win.
That will be the case, if they sell you base skills or skill upgrade steps. Or CP Points in this game.
But don't sell us core rules, like "guilds and skills", "levelups" or anything that changes the gameplay, because your wallet is bigger then mine type of items, that has immediate impact on the games itself.
I edited your post just to pick up on a point you made about not selling us skills...but you also said you are OK with them selling us Vamp/Werewolf (conveniently called virus) which are skill lines and after Dark Brotherhood these skills lines are becoming very useful once again.
