I thought they would of sold more copies as it's across 3 platforms.
Would of been interesting to see how many actually still play!

Nope, just copies sold, or more likely, accounts created. It doesn't mean 7 million are playing now, but 7 million paying people have logged on on 7 million different accounts since launch, free access (beta, weekends, etc..) not included. Since they're taking into account everyone since launch, of course the figure can only be growing.
I don't know if that's a lot, or not, in the MMO world. I guess it's a lot, otherwise it wouldn't have mentioned it.
In the E3 Matt Firor vidoe thing it said 7 Million players and growing. Does that mean 7 Million active players that are playing or just 7 Million copies sold?
Are you drunk AD is the most popular with EP closely behind.DC is last.MidknightWolf wrote: »In the E3 Matt Firor vidoe thing it said 7 Million players and growing. Does that mean 7 Million active players that are playing or just 7 Million copies sold?
All I care is that in every zone as AD i travel to, there are lots of people running about, and from what I tell, AD is the least popular alliance so it must be even more so in the other factions.

But 7 million client sales still nice.
With all those sales and people playing, not much of that money seems to be coming back into the game, guess the CEO is enjoying a nice bonus..
7 mill is sad number. They havent even gotten their money back yet. If ESO cost 200mill like most people think.

Well, at $60 a box they would have gotten their money back at least.

Not sure why anyone would want a 2nd account (besides more character slots, or different platforms ? ) but no matter what your reasons are, I am ready to bet that this is negligibly marginal.
Besides... for ZOS financially, it doesn't matter if accounts are owned by different people, or by the same people.
It does matter when it comes to ingame population (you can't possibly play on two systems AT ONCE) but again, I bet this is completely marginal. Not "many players".
