Props for VR removal, alts and CP feedback

The game really seems to have opened up with the removal of Veteran Ranks. I'm sure there were tons of players who had fully-leveled alts before, but there was also a large portion of the player base who didn't want to commit that time to level through VR1-16 again. Now getting to max level feels just about right.. can be done fairly quickly but still feels like you need to put in a good amount of effort and time. It's so refreshing to be able to try other (or all) classes.

One thing that feels a bit weird though, is how CP is used to display your overall character "level". If I have any CPs, all of my characters have access to that. Other players are aware of that as long as I'm playing a character who is level 50. If I'm playing a character lower than level 50, then only my actual level is displayed, even though I do still have access to all those CPs. And then there's the way that mob/gear go up to and stop at CP160.

These things don't really impact how the game plays, and I understand why it was done this way with the conversion from VRs. But it does feel patched together, and possibly confusing to a new player. I wonder if this is the final phase of changes to how the progression system is presented, or if there will be further tweaks down the road.

Personally, I'm just amazed that VR removal finally actually happened. Happy, but also amazed. :)

I know me too it's amazing now look at how many players have came back because of the Craft Bags and Vet Ranks being removed. Instead of cursing ZOS's balancing I can/have make other classes to remain competitive as ZOS keeps shifting the metas around.

    Great Job ZOS.

I think having gear (though not necessarily mobs) stop at CP 160 is good for the game. 160 is less than one third of the way to cap, cutting the gear grind short of the player's progression. Once a player is 160, they can have gear on the same tier as all those at 501. It becomes about increasing player skill from that point onwards.

Mobs could be increased past 160 to add further challenge to the game. Having to face enemies that are plainly tougher than anything we have fought before, perhaps even threatening to CP 501 players, will be a refreshing addition. And it will most certainly feel more like we are living in Tamriel, knowing there are things out there which can kill us.

I love how easy it is to get characters to max level now. Pre-DB, I didn't have any characters at max level, now I have 2, and with another 2 not far behind.
