ZOS made that statement yet didn't actually input the immunity a real safe zone has, like in the districts. It's good they're looking into it, I'd hate to lose my stones while in my base, that would suck. I'm just saying to me its the devs fault for releasing broken content, and I think it would be an awful scapegoat for them to just call it an exploit, especially if it takes no abilities to enter the area.
Not new.. In my earlier comment I said if they aren't using abilities (like gap closures) then I don't think it would technically be an exploit. If I can literally walk into your base and kill you, why wouldn't I? Surely the game developers know how players are entering the "safe zones" .... If it's simply hitting the A button to open the door, then that's on ZOS, IMO.
Not directing this at either of you in particular; just a general comment on exploits and things that aren't intended.Something got screwed up in the latest update. You could never just simply walk in. Im not at my computer but I'm pretty sure I can't just walk up to the door and press a and walk in. Whatever people are doing to get in, it isnt intended and it's exploiting a bug.
The faction area is equivalent to pve town areas. There is no pvp in towns. Towns have bankers, traders, merchants, bounty boards, and quest givers. IC faction area is no different. It is a safe zone. They don't need to put an aura of protection on you like ladders because there is no requirement for it. Promoting this idea that it is not a safe zone is just wrong and ill conceived.
The idea that because a player exploits a bug it's ZOS's fault has got to stop. Players need to be held accountable for their actions as well. Common sense, being self informed, asking questions, and integrity goes a long way. Now, if player doesn't know what they are doing is a bug than I might agree with you, but in this case, I'm pretty sure you have to actively do something that is blatantly not allowed or questionable activity to access the base. Pretty sure people exploiting this bug are not noobies just walking in.

If a bug appears in-game that results in an unintended action being possible, that's on ZOS. If a player makes use of an unintended action, you need to determine their intent. Did they know it was an unintended action? Did they do it on purpose, or happen across it by accident? Having not known it was unintended, and discovering by accident, may result in them continuing to do it without realising they shouldn't be. That would likely be the case if it were simply a case of walking up to the base door and being able to open it. If they did it on purpose and knew that it shouldn't be done, that would certainly be exploiting, and that would be the case if they were using gap-closers on people on the upper level and going in that door, or using the gap closers directly on people going in or out of the door. Since the whole area there has Chain Pull Suppression, gap closers shouldn't be possible.
4 days no response from Zeni that i have seen.
Is this an exploit or should we all start learning how to do this for free TV stones?
Shameful ZOS cant even reply to state there intentions but thread sweepers like Drayk sweeping all the bad threads under the carpet - Shows there priorities indeed!!

Isn't this the same bug that allows players to gap close through doors in enemy keeps? If so, all you have to do, from what I've read here in the forum is gap close on to someone going into their base and poof, you will be inside.
It was a bug reported in the PTS of which Zenimax was very much aware and still released it to the live servers.
Ohhh if its EP base then I have no problem with it they can keep doing it lol.Jk this sucks but ZOS really need to fix their game.Their a lot of areas you can get into just NY being uppercutted inside its stupid.Silver_Strider wrote: »4 days no response from Zeni that i have seen.

No, it involves getting uppercut into the wall and walking into the EP base.

I'm not sure how long the ban is but at least it is something positive from this.

the recent "gap closers" programming derp caused it. bet they either had 2 handers or were NB

Wait is this accurate? If it is it would make sense. However recently there had been surge of cheaters using programs to fly and cause mario type jumps to abate restrictions.
Quite frankly I am with the cynical people saying ZoS doesn't care at this point, huge videos were brought to light about the exploits and they required a mass amount of reports to decide to attend to it.
Me I am wondering why I keep subbing to game like this, or why ZoS management keeps the current team of developers employed for what they pay them
On top of the crippling the bugs that nuked my weekend of planned enjoyment of this game I now hear they screwed the pooch on cheaters also.
Sorry but any moderator reading this, you deserve to be fired and left desolate on the streets while starving.
I was thinking of playing some IC sewers tonight, as i have purchased the DLC. I however hold little faith that if im banking and someone ganks me in safe area that ZOS would re compensate my lost Tel Var. After all, they have yet to comment either way that i have seen.
So now because of an established exploit its risky to play DLC content i paid for?. 4 days no response from Zeni even though an employee was tagged.
@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Care to explain why customer relations are very poor over multiple days?
OR
@ZOS_DaryaK - Care to sweep this topic away so new players don't see? DLC is paid for content, any reason why over 4 days you ignore this topic?
