Vicious Death Bugged? I'm Confused

I was on my own at a resource, died and my death recap shows Vicious Death... isn't that supposed to work when another player on your faction dies near you, and explodes? ...

    @Molag_Crow is this on PS4 or PC?

    Based on the lack of add ons I'd be inclined to think PS4, in which case its just a UI bug that is supposed to be fixed in the DB patch. VD didn't actually kill you.
