Melee ? Sword and Shield

range= from a distance
in theory you could equip sword and board and still be ranged (using vampire's bane as a spam for example)..

Reevster✭✭✭✭✭Well if you equip a sword and shield on a magic class , as i like to do, I don't use any of the skills, just the passives for defensive proposes plus the shield stats etc, then its not really melee I guess or is it?1 -

no it's not...
they remain melee weapons, but you're not playing melee

no it's not...
they remain melee weapons, but you're not playing melee
Well I do bash from time to time, so I guess thats "melee"... plus light attack once in a while when out of magic and sta and in close

It's an area that ZOS has never clarified. Many AoE skills fall under the ranged category (Sap essence, proxy deto), but what about carve or steel tornado?
That's why the tooltip "melee" is wrong IMHOSarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly
