My Ebonheart Pact Sorcerer made during cake week, fully min-maxed with undaunted like 2 weeks after and Former Emperor of Haderus. Damn it feels good to be a min-maxed race. R.I.P my AD sorc... will probably never hit Legate unless race changes come out.

I also don't know how exactly this build will translate with this new patch. It worked okish on PTS, but everything can be good in duels. I just don't see how sorc can survive open world with such low shield durations. But damn was it fun destroying people with 50k magic. I don't even shield stack in these clips. I'm relying on my single core class defensive mechanic, and it is getting nerfed like DK's Dragonblood. That might be a bit of an apples and orange comparison in terms of the true gravity of the impact the low duration will make, but it does not look good in my 2 years of sorc play formed opinion. I had a lot of fun playing with this set-up that many would find a bit unorthodox compared to the cookie-cutter destro/resto sorc builds. It was a fresh change of pace, and the dawnbreakers from hell will be sorely missed.

I'm waiting till tuesday's maintenance before I give magic DK another shot. If I try now with the ult reduction bug, I'll just end up rage quitting the game, lol

It's really bad. I think Magic DK is better then sorc now. I'm running 29k health with 40k magic shield stacks with Dampen + Hardened. Then I get CC'd, CC break since i know how to manage my stam very well, but I'm already dead. Doesn't matter. Sorc is dead. My core defense doesn't work. Shields are all I have. They don't work. They only last 6 seconds. This class is dead. You can only play destro/resto cookie-cutter, and even that sucks.

There are only 2 serious magic classes now. Templar and NB. I think Stam sorc is actually better then magic sorc now. ****ing disgusting. We sorcs and DKs are like kin now. We can share the same grave while all the scum stamturds run rampant thinking they are good. They never had an issue with sorcs even since 1.6. Bad players, so terrible, like Zenimax. Casuals like the **** game developers that don't even listen to PvP feedback. You are all terrible.

I still don't see why such a harsh nerf was needed. They didn't just cut the time in half, they cut it in half AND then cut it some more. Players have been able to burst sorcs down forever.

We based this decision on extensive playtesting, player feedback, and data from the Maelstrom Arena leaderboards.

We know they don't playtest at anything like the level of nightly PvP or trials. So they nerfed sorcs based on QQ and the one piece of endgame solo content they wrote that specifically catered to sorc strengths.

I saw so many sorcs in Haderus the last two weeks before DB landed. It was like everyone was taking them out for a last fling.

Qae, you just need to take a week or two to adjust to the changes. Any good player will adapt to them

You truly are obtuse aren't you? I do not have 50k magic with 29k health atm. Do you even read what I wrote, or are you just tunnel-visioned into your fallacious argumentation? Also, quit with the 50k magic bs in every thread that talks about sorcs. There were only 2 sorcs in NA PC that ran with 50k magic, me and Tamerlin. And the whole 50k magic thing don't work now, only a single cookie-cutter sorc build works now. Sounds good to you? I'll repeat it. Only a SINGLE cookie-cutter build works now. A single build. It has been a very rough week so far. It also doesn't help that my ult reduction class passive don't even work, but maybe that might help a bit when finally fixed. So many fights this week I lost because I couldn't drop an Atronach or Ice comet in time, despite being at 170 ultimate.

Oh I'm sure there was a lot of PvP player feedback like "I can't gank this sorc" and "I die to sorcs" that went into it the thought process. PvE sorcs are bottom of the barrel DPS now.

Sorcs have needed a nerf for a very, very long time. Highest battlefield mobility, insane defense made stronger with their primary stat which then allowed them to pump up their damage. No one should have the best of everything, which is why damage and mobility remain while sustain has been Nerfed.

I'm sure Hev will find a good build in time, the good sorcs always do.
