Use dummy weapons / go naked if you want to test rotations and not actual dps. ;3KoshkaMurka wrote: »Bloodspawn only has like 1,5 mil hp... XD Its ok to compare dps with different sets and stuff like this, but if you needed proc rates or rotation practice, its not enough.

Fight a solitary world boss?

Fight a solitary world boss?
Sigh.
A dps test is used to test sustained dps. Not dps/defence over a short period.
Any world boss is gonna melt... except orsinium ones that will melt you if you arent in a specific solo build.
How complicated is it for zos this far in since launch to place a couple of target dummies somewhere like the harborage or create a similar instance to allow people to test thier dps?
It doesnt have to be everyones cup of tea... but a lot of people have been asking for this for a long time.
I would LOVE to hear an actual explanation from zos as to why they have not implemented this. It really is not that complicated. Like... explain how long u would estimate it would take your coders to produce and what else you are doing productively with that small amount of time.
My guess is they want to make it a paid only feature. But in that case why wouldnt you implement it now?

So far, all I'm seeing is guards, Bloodspawn, and WBs, none of which are great alternatives. Anyone have a better idea? There has to be a mob somewhere that is tanky as hell but hits like a wet noodle. Something in Craglorn, maybe? I dunno...

They didn't fix a bug. They removed an NPC. People were using it to get information to better themselves. It was harming noone.
If ZOS didn't want players to get that information they would lock down the APIs used for damage meters. As it stands, people will find an alternative, but they'll have to jump through hoops to find one, or go back to nagging friends to tank a group dungeon boss for them again.
So ZOS have just inconvenienced some people to benefit nobody at all. If you ask me, that shows they have seriously misplaced priorities.

my guess is they removed it because some RP group didn't like immersions being broken.
