Apparently I missed that memo
Just sub once and you'll keep the crafting bag until it's empty.
Totally agree, there should be zero benefits from being subbed and paying every month.

Everything > Craft Sack ... Yeeaaah ... I'll go with everything. I personally think that anybody not subbing for a good reason, has got to be out their mind. There is just too much offered with only a $14.99 tag price.

no benefit? Then why in the HELL would anyone sub?
First and foremost Zenimax is a business and as such is trying to make money (I know, shocking revelation, right?) Having the main content be FREE and DLC an optional 1 time buy in has a certain amount of profitability but if you, the player decided today to not buy any more DLC or other crown items, you STILL get to play the game and Zenimax makes ZERO off of you. Great deal for you but a sucky one for the game makers. Without revenue the game would close down.
The best business model however for them is subbing, since it's a constant and secure stream of income so it is in Zenimax's best interest to encourage players to sub. Crafting bags are the first real step imho to do that. Don't like it? Well all I can say is, tough luck.
Also for all those QQing about not being able to buy one in the crown store...see my above statement. There HAS to be some reason beyond the subbers "good will" to keep paying every month instead of being a cheap***

What about everyone who has already paid to have permanent access to EVERYTHING? What about them @Ethromelb14_ESO ?
Crafting Material Bags: These bags have enough spaces to hold one stack of every type of material for the specific craft. Only the specific craft’s materials can be placed within the corresponding bag and those materials should automatically be placed into the bag if picked up while the player has the bag in their possession.[*] Fisherman's Tackle (1500 Crowns): Provides enough room to carry a stack of each type of bait and a stack of each type of available fish. Fishing materials should automatically be placed into the bag if picked up while the player has the bag in their possession. (a nod goes to @Tommy1979AtWar for this concept)
- Alchemist Satchel (1500 Crowns)
- Blacksmith’s Haversack (1500 Crowns)
- Clothier’s Tote (1500 Crowns)
- Enchanter’s Purse (1500 Crowns)
- Provisioner’s Knapsack (1500 Crowns)
- Woodworker’s Duffel (1500 Crowns)
[/list]

There's barely any reason to sub besides having access to the DLCs, and if you have the DLCs it's even more pointless.
There needs to be actual reasons to sub, like the crafting bag.
As long as the benefits are convenience, all is good.

How can you permanently pay for an MMO? That makes no sense. Have I missed some sort of one time offer?

You don't have to sub. Subs are still optional.

Uh no you are wrong.
Unless you are a crafter the crafting bag is worthless to you.
Paying a sub is 100% optional, nobody is forcing you to pay a sub. You can buy crowns and get the DLC without paying the sub if you want.
