This is from a player who spent most of his time smacking around this NPC and learning his rotation.karldavy149b16_ESO wrote: »and as for testing a rotation are u kidding me u dont know the basic rotations enough that u have to test on a dummy .... what exactly did u learn when u leved besides a good grinding spothttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V30st2C8Ulw
I do not see any other player getting as high as this or doing a rotation like this.
Huh? I want to see the numbers from this same situation post- DB... them deeps.
Haha, did you actually expect ZOS actually listen to players and act on our feedback? One of the main reasons this was probably removed is because ZOS has all but confirmed test dummies will be available with player housing. I wonder how many crowns it will cost.

And there's nothing worse than an angry costumer! All those terrible seams and uneven hems!

Perhaps they pulled him out to hide the notable DPS decrease caused by the patch?

It was a bugged NPC. Just because it happened to be a useful bug to some doesn't make it any less of a bug. You'll just have to wait for the moment you can buy dummies from the Crown Store or something.Lava_Croft wrote: »It's a bug. Bug got fixed. They didn't fix a bug. They removed an NPC. People were using it to get information to better themselves. It was harming noone.
If ZOS didn't want players to get that information they would lock down the APIs used for damage meters. As it stands, people will find an alternative, but they'll have to jump through hoops to find one, or go back to nagging friends to tank a group dungeon boss for them again.
So ZOS have just inconvenienced some people to benefit nobody at all. If you ask me, that shows they have seriously misplaced priorities.

Doesn't Normal Darkshade has some early boss that constantly heals herself ?
I used to test damage on her since if you're pullin' any less than 20k the beyatch will just outheal incoming damage
If they had any clue at all, they would leave it as it is. Like I said several times, it was a useful "bug" at best, and a non-issue at worst. ZOS have failed on numerous counts recently, this is the last thing where they should be eager to show their bug fixing prowess. And again, like I said earlier, I'm looking at this from a PR standpoint. My overload keeps bugging out and stops working or turns into heavy attacks randomly, with this patch my ultimates cost 30% more than they should, but looky here - they fixed the bugged NPC! Laughable.Lava_Croft wrote: »It was a bugged NPC. Just because it happened to be a useful bug to some doesn't make it any less of a bug.
Are you deliberately trying to troll, or do you do it inadvertently?Lava_Croft wrote: »You'll just have to wait for the moment you can buy dummies from the Crown Store or something.
Totally different issues. They actually disabled the API calls used for group damage as a matter of policy - they decided nobody should have access to someone else's numbers without their consent. You can agree or disagree. In the case of this NPC, they didn't disable DPS meters. They just removed one NPC that happened to be a convenient way of testing DPS and skill rotation.Set him right next to the Group damage addon. RIP.
If you can pull well over 20k DPS, you likely have a templar friend to take you to test your dps with the bloodspawn thing all day long. If you have any less than that ( and therefore actually need a dummy ) , my sugestion works okay.KoshkaMurka wrote: »All those dungeon bosses simply dont have enough hp to survive for a minute or more and require help from other people to tank them.Doesn't Normal Darkshade has some early boss that constantly heals herself ?

And benchmark dps these days is far higher than 20k.
