So, you're asking for a gold sink option that unbinds BindOnPickup items? While it's not the worst idea ever, I feel like that completely undoes the entire point of the BoP gear category, which is kind of a classic MMO staple. Maybe it's just me, but I like the concept of BoE versus BoP items. It provides a sense of certainty, of finality-- if I put it on, this gear is stuck with me. I believe ESO's real problem is that there are FAR too many BoP items, and not enough sellable drops.
Just my two cents. Your idea could totally be a thing, though.
Ahh. Nope, I see it now. My reading skills just leveled up.
So OP you want to dye armour and give it to a friend or an alt account?
Why not help them get the achievement instead? There is literally not once achi in game that's dye related that is difficult to obtain...
Even Akatosh Gold is not that hard.
There is a way to restore original colors. At the dye bench, flip over to the "clear color" option.
As long as the gear was not bind on pickup before I see no reason why this would be unreasonable. Thank you for the clarification I misunderstood the original post this morning because I was still sleepy.
I thought you meant you wanted to dye armour and send it to a friend or remove the bound on BoP items.
While I am against BoP myself while it's in place I am against trading them.
If it's removed I welcome it as I think all gear should be BoE instead.

I mean... its a sword, one person drops it, the next picks it up and starts hacking... its not exactly rocket science or fingerprint locks, is it? (and come to think of it, isn't that pretty much how we get all the gear we have on our characters in the first place?)
As such, I would not mind such an "wash & unbind" function for ALL gear. Even BoP. Even trial super-rare stuff for that matter. As long as the unbind cost was scaled accordingly... then its the players choice. Do they really want to pay 50K gold to unbind that sword? When the one they'd want to give it to could buy an almost as good piece in the next guild store for 10K?
