They heard! They listened! Vamps are getting changes (hopefully buffs)!

This is some of the best news I've heard in ESO for a LONG time!!!

Be more optimistic, it could be lateral changes that don't make much difference and buffs no one wants

One cannot nerf what is already nerfed.

Except templars. We can always nerf Templars...because it's fine as long as they get more damage :P

would be cool if they made the timer longer so you don't have to feed as often or can feed from blood alter since it is blood after all...id consider becoming a vamp in that case

the problem I always had with vamp is the hassle of feeding, and the redundancy of 4 ranks, your either max vamp, or feed your way to base vamp.

I would like it if there was a readable static mechanic for going up and down that didn't use time, for instance, a sleep mechanic for raising level (use a bed and raise level) and then feeding to decrease level (as now) with no time mechanic.

that way you can control exactly what level you are at and for how long. done and done.

    game got too disappointing.

Okay, minor or not, also give werewolf berserkers a black fur coat and fix that GLITCH THAT MAKES YOU INVISIBLE WHILE TRANSFORMING BACK FROM WEREWOLF that you caused as a result of the WW LA enchant process in TG.

    This is a great suggestion.

This does need some thought. I am either V1 or v4 99% of the time it seems.

I would also be skeptical about doing jumping jacks just yet until you get some kind of info on what exactly they are changing.

Maybe we'll get actual fangs? Seems TES games always take a year or two to get them added in.

I'm hopeful that Vampire will make a comeback and be worth messing with again.

@wing There really isn't any reason to feed. You are stronger at stage 4 than stage 1. Which other than Skyrim I don't remember being the case in other TES games. You really should be stronger at stage 1 that way that mechanic actually plays a role. Also, increasing time of each stage transition to 3-4 hours would be enough. You shouldn't really be needing longer duration between stages.

I'd also like to see some of the old way some of the abilities worked put back in. I always felt after their second pass of "re-balancing" on vamps that they where gutted to the point that they where kinda a 1 trick pony. Bats and that's about it. Mist form lost a lot of it's potency when they removed the speed boost on it and immunity. It's not longer an escape more of an attempt to make your opponents die of laughter for using it.

I don't think feeding mechanic is the main problem, but lack of useful skills. As a nightblade you'd never use mist cause you got cloak, the funnel thing is just bad because of the channeling, and the ult is just worse than soul tether now that you can be pulled out of stealth. I'd like to see either (or both) more skills or let us regen again without a skill slotted. Extra fire and fighter's guild dmge is too punishing currently, the reduced health regen is a meaningful inconvenience specially on stam chars

Not sure why anyone wants to feed, the cool bonuses are at full vamp, but I still wish they would have mist form make you invisible to NPCs/mobs.

I have no reason to slot any of the vamp skills, so saying that you are stronger at stage 4 is escaping me.

I am very skeptik about any changes to Vampires.

They've done nothing but nerf the dog crap out of them to the point that only 2 Skills are worth anything now.

I won't believe them until the details on how they're reworking Vampires comes out.

Stage 4 is only worth anything if you slot Vamp skills, and I am trying to find a reason to do this.

As far as mist form becoming the equivalent of NB shadowy disguise, that is something to talk about.

Congrats you're the exception to the rule. Most people who get vampire use at least 1 of the abilities. Just because you don't doesn't change the fact that at stage 4 the vampire character IS stronger.

Can anyone confirm that reverting back to stage 1 vampirism, changes the skin to appear more human-like? Is that cosmetic change there?

Each Stage has a different visual appearance. Stage 1 looks the more "normal" but your character is paler and has red eyes still. I still wish Stage 1 looked completely normal. Because it should.

The changes are not that great. Most vamps are locked into stage 4 even more so now. At least before patch i could be stage 1 and maintain dark stalker aswell (if i wanted the hp regen as a stam vamp). The 30 minute stage 1 duration was the issue which was annoying to keep up. Now i gotta be ugly in pvp forever as stage 4...

I personally hate how stage 1 was stated to be the pve stage and stage 4 the pvp stage.

Even the stage decay while using ability's is pretty lame in my opinion. Now maintaining stage 2 or 3 is very hard.

The only bright side of this is camo doesn't exist, dawnbreaker will be weaker and we get are regen passive.
