Resource Enchantments give more resource than it is described ?

I am just trying to understand, how an enchanted piece of armor or traited jewelery (with max hp, mp or stam) actually gives more of the resource than it is written. I will provide you with an example.

Example is made on a fully reseted character. No skill points or attribute points added. I tried to search for similar topics but i found none. Is there some basic stuff that i am missing ?

as we see here i have 10090 HP

Then i equip a ring that has +924 HP

so, 10090 + 924 = 11014 right ?

WRONG ! <ESO maths incoming>
image.jpg

Apparently this equals 11156...

please, save the not constructive posts for yourself, like "you should be happy (i am) or "why go into this" (because i can)

i just want to understand the mechanic behind this because it is important for me, as i am actually trying to make a build and this kinda changes the stats. I know this is not much diffrence but what a full set of armor and jewelery can do ? Together this is a big diffrence. Can someone explain this to me ?

Just to make sure, did you also reset your cp? They increase your stats by a certain percentage.

All CP spend in a red tree increase your max health by a small percentage. If you are a NB and have shadow abilities equiped this will also increase your health.
Those passive increases are calculated after you equip the ring, so the value you gain will always be higher than the tooltip value before equipping.

You guys are right, i did not reset CP, but i was reading countelss times that changes made in CP do not show in character stats. So now they do ? if they are the tooltip on my ring when it is equipped should change too am i right ?

Some dmg increases won't be reflected in the ability tooltips. The ring enchants tooltip value won't change eighter after equipping, just like the armor enchants. The increased values will only be reflected in the character sheet values.

So this is painfully wrong made... it should be either none CP changes are reflected in character stats or every change is reflected in character stats (better option). But now we have some do and some do not.... and how am i supposed to predict the build now ?

Actually all the character sheet values should be correct as far as I know. Only a few ability tooltips aren't affected by some CP constellations.
What you can do is spend all your CP, take buff food and then try on different gear and compare ability tooltips.
Or you just read some posts about the optimal gear for your class and build. Basically all relevant calculations have been done already.

Racial passives as well other passives that affect HP work on the final value of HP and then increase it further. That is what's going on.
